Thanks Vectorworks 2017

Just want to thank the whole Team for the Release of Vectorworks 2017.

There is such an amount of useful improvements and changes that will have an
enormous impact on my personal workflow.
I'm deeply impressed by that special Vectorworks Release and still nearly speechless.

That is a giant step ahead.

From what I have seen so far, 2017 looks like it has a healthy mix of new and improved features!

I'm still overwhelmed by the amount of tools they put their hands on.
Unbelievable. 
This Upgrade is at least worth 3 full release cycles.

There are even things I never criticized or knew I would need ....

Thank you! I appreciate that immensely. 

A lot of the video work has my voice but a huge portion of the planning and filming was from my team: Mike Groves, Joe Block, Alex Sagatov and Terra Kyle, many of whom US users may have spoken with directly when they called Tech Support or Training. Without them it would maybe have been 1/5th as much content. They put in a lot of overtime with me and we did way more than we even expected was possible.

And I guessssssss @JuanP, my boss, as well. He helps a little bit

I must agree with the comments above.  This is a version that made improvements to what was already there.  Doors & Window Styles is a huge help.  Being able to globally change a particular style in essentially one click is immense.  I do some commercial work from time to time and the slab drainage feature is dope.  I love the enhancements made to the subdivision tools as well.  I think I'll be digging into that much more now.  The resource manager is way better than the previous pallete.

There are still things on my wishlists as I think we all do and we'll just have to bombard that list all the more.  The Vectorworks team is doing more listening.  I like that.

One other thing too is being able to import RVT files.  There is so much content out there on the WEB that caters to the Revit folks and now we can borrow their stuff too.  A big thumbs up on this one.

I recommend to read the "what's new in 2017" in VW help.
You will find so many astonishing things in corners where you always thought,
no one will care about these the next century.

Things like Custom Cabinet Tool and such

Hi, When will the release date be for AUS/NZ??? which is always a few weeks after the rest of the world gets it. we cant use it down here till them

I think the timeframe for the german release has to be "at least" 6 weeks after US release.
Normally about 4 weeks or so, but still in October.

Jim, first and foremost lots of thanks and compliments to you and your colleagues for achieving what you did with VW2017, it is much appreciated.

Having you picking up our wishes etc. and communicating them to your colleagues as well as explaining things certainly made a difference of which we are increasingly seeing the benefits.

Already looking forward to VW2018 :-)

And last but not least.... when skimming the new features link I noticed one of my biggest wishes for Landmark has been fulfilled (the EPSG catalog implementation). As well as some other GIS related improvements. (too bad there is no party icon)

Hopefully you have some idea of how immense this improvement is for GIS use compared to VW2016 and earlier versions, as it most likely gets rid of quite a number of potentially nasty issues when working with less common coordinate reference systems (i.e. other than UTM, NAD and Lon/Lat). It makes VW so much more useful when working with georeferenced data.

Currently I like 2D SubD's (in Edge Extend Mode)
Or own Geometry converted to SubD's.
