VW24 + Sonoma equals invisible mouse

Hi,

My mouse cursor keeps disappearing in VW24 with macOS Sonoma. I updated today to the latest version which unfortunately didn't make any difference. Earlier, I was able to go to the Dock and the pointer would appear again, but since the last update, even this workaround doesn't work.

 

Any clues on how to fix this?

@MartinBlomberg I have not heard this from anyone else. I get my Sonoma machine on Wednesday so I can see more about it then.

 

Do you have any "mouse helper" software installed? Something to change the cursor size? Or to jiggle the mouse to keep the screen saver from opening? Or to highlight the mouse when you first move it?  Check and make sure you have the current version of turn that off and see if it helps.

Thanks, feels "good" that I'm not alone. I need to restart VW to get this to work, does anyone know of any other way to get back the cursor without restarting?

Please can you all file this as a bug too. This needs to get pushed forward to be fixed for the next service pack update.

as well as restarting Vectorworks, I would restart the computer.

I'm not sure how to do that, VW doesn't crash or anything, only the mouse disappears. Sorry for my ignorance.

Apple Menu:About this Mac.

From the dialog box click the More Info... button.

Scroll to the bottom and click the System Report... button

File Menu: Save.

@MartinBlomberg No need to wait for the issue to happen again. Often, this issue shows up when another application clashes with the shortcuts. I'm in the process of gathering System Reports to pinpoint that potential troublemaking app. Thanks!
