  1. markdd's post in Light Emitter within Lighting Instrument visible in Renderworks was marked as the answer
They shouldn’t do that when inside lighting devices but occasionally it happens.

You can get rid of them by going to the quick prefences bar and setting light objects to be only visible in wireframe or not visible at all.
  2. markdd's post in Cable Tool text colour was marked as the answer
The Cable tools use auto-classing. Take a look at the classes generated by the tools (prefixed with CABLE) and hopefully you will see that some of the classes generated by the tool have their fill set to black.

    Hope that helps.

You have perspective crops turned on. Turn off in document preferences.

Assuming you have VWX spotlight, the simplest and most foolproof way would be to make a gobo texture from the artwork you want to use and project it using a spotlight instrument.

There are a few youtube clips if you google "creating gobo textures in Vectorworks" that you may find helpful.

You will need to turn down ambient lighting. That can be found in the view menu under lighting.
  6. markdd's post in Title Block Scaling Issue was marked as the answer
It's because you are using the title block on a design layer. If you insert it on a sheet layer, then all will be well. It seems that if you have design layers set to a scale other than 1:1 the title block will remain fixed at the scale it was drawn at. Very counter intuitive I agree. The fix, if you want to use a title block on a design layer drawn at a scale other than 1:1 is to edit the title block and scale accordingly.

Do you have Layer colours enabled by mistake?
