  1. Note that if you really want to 'cast your vote' for this wish-list item, you should click the 'up arrow' to the left of the Topic Title at the top of the page (screen cap attached below). As of right now this request has Zero votes.
  2. See the following post for instructions on downloading an older SP. Not sure if you are on Windows, but you'll need to find and run the Vw Updater application; other users have said that in Windows the Updater application is also in the VW App Folder, but it is in a VW Updater Sub Folder.
  3. It doesn’t appear that there are any settings in the Vw Preferences Interactive Pane to change the color of the pointer arrow / cursor, but you can select the option to ‘use full screen cursor’. That might have a similar effect of making the cursor more visible. You can also change the Background color of Sheet Layers and Top/Plan to offer more contrast with the pointer arrow / cursor.
  4. One addition to this is that there should be a preference to differentiate wood blocking which only gets a single slash \ though it, not an X. At least that’s the graphic standard that I was taught here in the US.
  5. I believe that countries other than the U.S. (and it’s territories) do not use the IBC (or IRC), at least according to the ICC. ICC Overview of the International Building Code So, no there is not one ‘international’ building code — despite the name.
  6. This definitely feels like a bug, you should go ahead and file one at the following link. Include a link to this thread when you are filing the bug report. https://www.vectorworks.net/support/bugsubmit — or send an email to bugsubmit@vectorworks.net Note that you might not get acknowledgment of Vw receiving the bug report.
  7. The last Vw version to offer a separate ‘Renderworks’ add-on package was Vw2016. In Vw2017 and newer, Renderworks was included with all licenses and hence it no longer shows up as a separate add-on in your license history. Post back if that is not what you were asking about.
  8. @Timmy Here’s a link to the ‘No Stories, No Problems’ thread that @E|FA mentioned: Post back if you have further specific questions about how to properly use Walls in Vw.
  9. I’ve noticed some files posted by other users (not just yourself) that have also gone ‘unavailable’. Not sure what’s going on.
  10. I do not know the reason why Apple has dropped EPS support, I’m just an end user like yourself. I know you’re already aware of old wishlist requests for Illustrator import. Here’s a few other related threads:
  11. The advice offered was in response to the original poster who was asking about converting EPS to PNG. Those same websites also offer conversion from EPSF to vector formats like SVG, DWG, DXF, etc. You may have to try several of them because the results can differ. There are also open source options like GIMP and Inkscape, both of which offer much the same functionality as Adobe’s products. They’re just a little less user-friendly. A google search for “convert EPS to DXF” will yield a multitude of options, and instructions on how to do it. You’ll have to figure out a workflow that works best for you because the ability to import EPS files into Vw is not coming back.
  12. There are also plenty of websites that offer free conversion of EPS files to PNG.
  13. There is an old wish-list request for this functionality dating from Jan. 2017, so over 7 years old now... Feel free to follow the link and go up-vote the request, maybe someday it will be implemented. @PVA - Admin aka JimW said that he added that thread to the enhancement request VE-97306.
  14. @Gal - MacOS doesn't allow updates for graphics cards outside of MacOS System updates (unlike Windows). The only way to check this is by using Apple's 'Software Update'. Beyond it being an 'old Intel iMac', in order to help diagnose we would need more specific hardware specifications: How much RAM? What MacOS version are you running? And is that MacOS version completely up-to-date? 1) Check this System Compatibility list to make sure your MacOS is compatible with Vw2019 (if that is what you are running). 2) Check the System Requirements for Vw2019: Vw 2019 System Requirements 3) Make sure your Vw application is up-to-date with all the Service Packs
  15. Jeff is correct, using AutoCAD or some other DWG-based software — you have to install those .pat files and then apply the hatches to 2D closed objects in a DWG file. Then you can import the DWG file into Vw with the hatches included.
  16. I just tested exporting a DWG 2017 version file from Vw2023 (making sure that Export Tile Fills and Image Fills options are all selected), and viewing the DWG with the Autodesk Viewer confirms that the Tile was not clipped. I don't disagree that should be the expected behavior, but it doesn't seem to be happening. You should probably file a Tech Support request.
  17. Do you mean in this user forum, or in the Vw Help File? I could be wrong, but I do not recall ever seeing an AutoCad help sub-section on these Vw forums; it seems unlikely that Vw would have a sub-forum dedicated to a competing product. And not to answer your question, but the cutout is still there in the ACAD tile version -- it just has not clipped the tile background as in the pattern version. It's hard to see because of the tile density. Perhaps that's what you meant. Is there a reason you cannot use a Hatch (instead of a Tile)? I'm pretty certain that Hatches get clipped just like Patterns in ACAD.
  18. There is also a 6 minute video on using the Resource Manager over at the VwUniversity training portal. https://university.vectorworks.net/mod/overview/view.php?id=5615
  19. It sounds like you have already figured it out, but over in this other thread Sarah Barrett posted additional EBM resources with relative benchmarks which were not included with the default Library in Vw2023.
  20. I do not know Spotlight, but that looks like Z-fighting — where you have two 3D objects occupying the exact same space.
  21. Here are links to two old existing wishlist requests for this functionality, one dating back almost 20 years now. Way beyond long overdue…
  22. While this functionality would all be very welcome, in the interim of having to wait a long time for it — I would recommend buying the third-party plug-in Mouldings. It is very flexible (also includes gutter profiles) and simplifies the process of manually creating EAPs. https://fitplot.it/vwplugins/mouldings.html#latest
  23. @Andy Broomell has written up a good tutorial for creating a custom Title Block Border in Vw2024. It might help you out with creating one from scratch. https://www.andybroomell.com/vectorworks-title-block-tutorial
  24. There have been multiple recent threads about similar issues with trying to install / download / update Vw2024 SP4. You should be able to find them with the forum search function. Two such threads are linked below. Personally, I would either file a support request directly with Tech Support to try and install it — or hold off on installing SP4 until it gets straightened out and a new updated SP is released.
  25. Hard to say exactly from your screenshot, but it looks a lot like the bug being discussed over in this other thread linked below. I had it happen in Vw2023, but I haven’t used Vw2024 enough to say if it is still present.
