@INKLandscape What version of Vectorworks are you using? If you can provide us with the testing file, that will help. If you are on a deadline, feel free to contact tech support via https://customers.vectorworks.net/support

@alberts.architekten, Some of our versions are localized to meet some local standards. Please get in touch with our local distributor in Germany to see if they can switch your Vectorworks to the German version. https://www.vectorworks.net/en-US/international
-
@Michal Zarzecki Could you confirm if the version of Vectorworks on your signature is correct? Also, can you send us a screenshot of the error message? Thanks
-
@Henrique Lauer as @Tom W. suggested, please send us a couple of files for testing. Also, please make sure you are running the latest 2024 Update 2.1 - thanks
-
@stayathomedad I can't see the difference. I tried the Tool tips in 2023 and 2024, and they worked as expected. Now, there was an issue with the Tool Tips and macOS Sonoma 14.1 that was fixed with the latest update to 14.2. Are you running Sonoma?

@vklimovs I tested your file with the 2024 Viewer version of Vectorworks, and changing the scaling factor from .6 to 1 fixes the issue. There is an issue with image props and Renderworks. Our team is currently researching the problem; I'll keep you posted.

@Mark_DDi Someone from our team will be reaching out to assist you.
-
@vklimovs , can you share the file for testing via DM? - thanks
-
@Mark_DDi as a next step, I will suggest after rebooting your computer, open the Vectorworks updater from the Vectorworks 2024 folder, then click on the Advance Options and click on Repair - after repairing, click on Check updates and follow the steps to update 2, if the problem persists, please contact technical support directly via https://customers.vectorworks.net/support

@Kevin McAllister Up through the 2023 product cycle, we referred to any release during a version as Service Packs. This coming 2023, Service Pack 8 will be the last time customers see the phrase Service Pack used. Beginning with 2024, all releases during a version cycle are referred to as Updates. This is a common terminology used by many subscription-based softwares around the world. Update better reflects the fact that releases during a version cycle for Vectorworks may contain bug fixes, feature updates, or even new features for our active subscription and service select customers.
I hope that clarifies.

@Shandor Is this happening also in Vectorworks 2024 Update 2 which was released last week? - Thanks
-
@ifriedman Could you explain what the issue is to assist you better? If you can provide the .rvt file for testing, that will help, too. Thanks
-
@doug shaffer Could you send us a small file with only the problem example - i.e., One Wall One Window? Sometimes, that helps us to find the issue faster. Thank you.
-
@doug shaffer Submitting your issue to our R+D team. I will report back with any updates. Thank you.
-
@MarkH1 and @Steve Nield It seems to be an issue with Sonoma 14.1. Tooltips work fine in Sonoma 14.0. We are currently testing Sonoma 14.2, and the tooltips are working again. I couldn't find a release date for 14.2, I will keep you posted.

This option is hard coded. I'm waiting for an answer from the developer to see if we can upgrade the title. This is happening occasionally, and when that happens, I've been editing the post.

There is not much that I can control directly from the admin UI - I will submit wish items to the developer.

in Hardware
Posted
@Charles W. Smith Yes, you can install Vectorworks 2024 in your new MacBook Air. The installer can be found at https://customers.vectorworks.net/ .
I have tested Vectorworks 2024 in an M2 MacBook Air, and it works. The only difference is that we have it with 24GB of memory.
