  1. Does this happen with any file? Have you tried it in a new blank file? Can you send me a file that demonstrates the issue?
  2. No. Most of that was in place before I started here. :-)
  3. Thanks for the file! I reproduced the issue and submitted a bug. This seems to be a file specific problem.
  4. Can you tell me what types of objects this happens with? Does it happen with a selected rectangle?
  5. Can you send me a small file that demonstrates this? Please let me know if it happens on a new VW 2017 document.
  6. This was taken from the Vectorworks 2017 help. I don't have specifics on hand but if you want more information about any of this, let me know. A number of other improvements have been made, including new export data options, new unit options, dialog box simplification, and improved calculations.
  7. Hello marioqi, What object is selected when you do this? Does it happen with other objects as well?
  8. Hello Jeremiah, I've never seen this happen. Is this a file specific problem or does it happen in any file?
  9. Thanks again guys! BTW: I've hounded many of you for your Camera Match renderings in the past and I always love seeing them and the different ways the plug-in is used. Please do keep sharing them with me. :-)
  10. The data fields CAN be styled. Note the "By Style" column. Let me know if this does not do what you need.
  11. I think he meant like this mockup. Unfortunately, the end cap cannot do this.
  12. Hi Ben, I've seen some slow Revit imports as well. We are aware of this and are looking into it.
  13. Right. Using the available thumbnails was something we considered, but there is not an ideal mechanism to have these show in the dialog without using a symbol popup control (similar to the select shape dialog). Cosmetically, it would not be great. A live preview in the dialog would be better, IMO.
  14. Hi Tom, I'm glad you're loving the new Door and Window Styles! I get what you mean about the use of the word "type" but for each "type" in an architectural set, you still could have more than one "style" in order to deal with various wall conditions. It really depends on how you prefer to organize them. And yes, the word "styles" makes sense foe consistency. :-) Regarding inputing a "Type ID": I agree and it is something we have on the radar. You can use a user field located in the Data pane of the Door Settings dialog. Certainly not ideal but it will allow you to show it on schedules.
  15. Hi Zoomer, Not so much a bug as it is an overly generalized graphic for the selected member type. Ideally, these would be live previews of the selected profile. I entered an enhancement request for this.
  16. Hi Andrew! Thanks for the kind words! I'm very excited to see Camera Match included in VW and look forward to seeing the various way it will be used. I really enjoyed seeing your work and hope to see more! :-) -Matt
  17. No problem Pete, I saw Raymond's bug report. Very interesting report I must say. -Matt (firmly standing on half my ground until Raymond gives me back the rest) Panzer
  18. Hi Raymond, I'd rather not get my "sources" caught up in this when they have deadlines to tend with. :-) It may very well be that the slight imperfections are so negligible that the last half of my statement should be left out. I'll just say that the VW oval is, in fact, based on a true mathematical ellipse and I'll leave the rest alone. ;-) As for the COLOR accuracy of your oval, all bets are off when you're talking color. :-P
  19. Now that you're both in agreement: I asked around "in-house" and have found that the VW oval is, in fact, based on a true mathematical ellipse. However, due to certain technical reasons, it is not displayed absolutely perfectly.
  20. Thanks for the kind words Mike. I'm very glad to hear you're happy with CameraMatch! Matt, my apologies for not being able to get ViewPack updated for VW 2016. I was working around the clock tying loose ends right up to the night before starting at Vectorworks. I'll see if I can think up a solution to what you're after.
  21. It is a great example Jim. Marionette certainly holds MANY exciting possibilities!
  22. LOL! In that case I'd like to see more weirdos working at VW. ;-) I have caused this thread to veer off track a bit. My entire interest was the hole cutting abilities and other possible interaction.
  23. Hi Jim, Right. I have a VE request in for plug-in interaction for floor, slab, roof face, and roof objects. My current need isn't for Marionette objects, but I assume Marionette objects are essentially plug-in objects. The skylight example object is great, but if it can only cut slab objects than it's use (as far as hole cutting is concerned) is limited to flat roofs modeled using slab objects. Id love to see symbol and plug-in interaction with these objects on par with how they interact with walls.
