  1. You need to edit the database criteria and add an additional criteria for On Schedule. Add a door or window to a new blank document and create the built in schedule. The criteria for that includes the On Schedule criteria. You will have to show the database headers to be able to edit the criteria.
  2. The resource list is just that, a list of the resources in the file (or in some library file) depending on how you created the list. You can use the VS routines to add to and subtract from that list as you see fit. For example you could get a list of all the symbols with the name chair and then remove all the ones that included rocking as part of the name. This would not change the resources in the file, only those that will be acted on my the list. When you delete the actual resource it is automatically deleted from the list (I think, test for Nil handles before trusting me on this), or at least will not be able to be built into a new list. HTH
  3. Check your Interactive Appearance Settings. General - Page Boundary. My guess is that the opacity is set all the way to the left (transparent). There are separate settings for black background and white background.
  4. There are about 10 different files available for download on that page. Which one are you referring to? Did you notice that one of the downloads is already a VW symbol file? Is there a reason you are not using that?
  5. I thought there was a setting for this in Unified View Options, but I can't find it tonight.

  7. VW2012 requires a minimum of 512mb of Vram. http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/929/Vectorworks+2012+System+Recommendations
  8. What happens if you put a space between the feet and inches: 10' 6" ??
  9. DWF is the autodesk format designed for viewing only, kind of like PDF. It will not be usable any other way. You will need to ask for a DWG or DXF version of the file.
  10. If you create the classes you want in the template file you should be able to have your reports set up to use whatever classes you want. The default reports are only going to use the standard classes. To use your own classes, you will need to edit the criteria to limit the display to just the layers and classes you are interested in.
  11. You need to edit the criteria for the database row and add an additional critera for the layer you are interested. As to your student/residential split, how are you doing that? By layers or by classes? You can edit the database criteria to restrict the results to a single layer or class or to exclude layers or classes.
  12. I have not tried this, but could you Send To Back the parapets? This would put them behind the wall in Top/Plan.
  13. There is a program called Imagaro Z. http://www.imagaro.com/ Designed for signmakers to convert raster to vector images. Available for both Mac and Windows. I have not used it but the demo at MacWorld is very impressive.
  14. This recent comments on this thread are unprofessional and unacceptable. This thread is now locked. Further personal attacks (a violation of the Terms of Service) will results in a ban from the forums. The Moderators.
  15. I think there is some setting in Unified View about projecting 2-D objects like dimensions. I don't know if this applies to Viewports or not.
  16. It appears that the Landscape Area Plants show up in the Reports:Schedules in the Landmark workspaces. Or you can create your own custom worksheet. Open the worksheet/schedule for editing and go to File:Export:Export Worksheet. This will give you several options on how to export the file. You should be able to get what you want.
  17. I don't know about the best way, but take a look at the Notch Wall Around Window movie at: http://www.vectortasks.com/Movies/Movies.html
  18. Have you set the Print Resolution? File:Document Settings:Document Preferences:Resolution There are boxes to enter the resolution for both PDF export and Printing. These settings apply to all of the design layers. If you are using Sheet Layers, the resolution can be set in the Organization Palette.
  19. Vectorworks Preferences Session Tab Reset Saved Setting Button (top right) Make sure the "Always do the selected action Choices" check box is checked. Click OK. You will now get ALL of the dialog boxes again the first time you get a condition that inquires.
  20. AE, Perfectly legitimate use of the forum. I posted this for my reference as much as yours. I have spent many hours looking in the Function Reference before remembering it is considered an "Operator" rather than a "Function" or "Procedure". I have filed an enhancement request to get it all pulled together in one place.
  21. If you don't want to have to register every copy another possibility would be to have the PIOs just look for a "license" file on the server. This could be as simple as just a file with the right name, or could include a list of acceptable license numbers. This would not prevent others who are very tech literate from breaking the protection, but if you don't publicize that the file is required, it is unlikely that a casual user who took a copy would be able to use it.
  22. Check your VW Font Mappings: VW Preferences, Display Tab, click the Edit Font Mappings button. It may be that VW is using substituting Ariel for the original font for display, but storing the original font information. When you export to PDF the original font is used and Acrobat prints that. I wrote a script that is supposed to change all the fonts in a file. Try it and let me know if it works. http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=164737&Searchpage=1&Main=33414&Words=Font&Search=true#Post164737
  23. Just for future reference, all of the Operators (mathematical and boolean) are described in the Vectorscript Language Guide that is part of the VW Help. That information should probably also be in either the Function Reference or the Appendices.
  24. I don't remember specifically VW11, but I am pretty sure that every Sheet Layer can have it's own Page Setup. This includes paper size.
