cberg
I've trying out how to figure out how to use the modify classes and layer command to merge two classes. I have read that several others have had the same question, but the explanations didn't offer up much help. Does anybody know how to do this? It seems when I try to do this that the okay button continues to be grayed out, I don't think the classes are empty. Appreciate any help that could be offered. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted December 2, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 2, 2004 You have to move layers too or the button won't enable. If you don't want to change the layer structure, just move all layers into the proposed list. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
that command works great for the most part, but occasionally object that are on a class that is merged sometimes end up classed as 'none'. minor glitch... Quote Link to comment
mdesigner
I've found that the simplest way to "merge classes" is: 1. Delete one class 2. A prompt will come up asking what you want to do with the objects on the class that's being deleted. 3. In the drop down menu on the prompt window will be the remaining classes to choose from, choose desired class 4. The two classes are now "merged" 2 Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
that is a quick way to remove one class, and it also works with several classes at once, if you select the classes you want to remove. 1 Quote Link to comment
