VW2023 SP3 Windoor issues

Hi,

I've recently updated to SP3 in VW2023 (Windows) and my Windoor symbols are disappearing on me when i move or edit them.

Any ideas please??

@Matt HagenHi Generally this is an issue with an object being way off in the distance. turn on all classes and design layers and select all. See what you find and delete till you get only the main drawing filling the screen. HTH

Thanks Alan. Not this time. I reinstalled WinDoor and its sorted the problem.

I'm having all sorts of craziness with WinDoor in VW2023...

Hi,

 

I have also Problems with Windoor under SP3 (German Version)

 

I can't edit Windoor-objects created before SP3

+ I can't create new Windoor-objects.

 

If I want to show the Windoor-palette, VW crahes instantly!

 

I de- and reinstalled Windoor

I repaired VW with the Updater

I deinstalled then reinstalled WinDoor + it was OK again after that. But for you it's still playing up?

I had that too (in SP 2 ?)

But I thought it is just me not knowing how to use WinDoor ...

 

With earliest VW 2023 also problems with the WinDoor Palette,

maybe because I had my Workspace migrated.

 

I will try deinstalling/installing ....

I uninstalled then reinstalled and all is well in the world. Just trying to do that with the rest of my life now 🙂

BTW, for me it is working too.

Since I also un-/reinstalled the Plugin lately.

Possible that WinDoor does not create Wall Closures ....

although the settings are available !?

 

I have copied out some of my Walls from the building to test with

WinDoors. I rechecked all my Closure Settings (use from Walls)

But none of any WinDoor element shows Closures for me, while

the VW Windows and Doors beside, in the same Walls do ....

 

All WinDoors are labeled as WinDoor in Wall.

I do not use WinDoor much + never before with Wall Closures I don't think but I have tried it quickly now + it is working for me...

No luck, even when overwriting Wall Settings ?

I opened the file. Two of the WinDoor objects were already displaying Wall Closures. The remainder did not have 'Use Wall Closure' enabled in the Plug-in Object Options but when I enabled it they all displayed Wall Closures too... So all looks correct to me!

BTW,

 

we actually use Windows here, where the "Transom" is at the bottom of the Window,

below the opening Sash. And even have two opening Sashes in a single Window,

above each other.

(Kind of a "Transom" with Sash and tilt function, above a tilt+turn Sash ....

 

I think I have to switch to WinDoor again ?

Would be nice if WinDoor Tool could grab and translate some of the basic Settings

from a standard VW Window or Door ....
