  1. Do you have saved views, design layers or sheet layers with the same names? [ 01-07-2005, 12:39 PM: Message edited by: klinzey ]
  2. Script execution will automatically resume once the dialog is dismissed by the user. AlrtDialog is not designed to return a value. If you need an answer from the user use YNDialog.
  3. It should work automatically. Make sure that you are copying something from VW first. The only time I have seen this happen is when the copy didn't happen. If you are in version 10 or later you should be using SetParent to change the layer of an object.
  4. Ethan, Are you using Lightwright 3 or 4? Do the accessories show in LW? What is the device type in LW?
  5. You need to move the Layerload call inside the case of SetupDialogC. Modern dialogs work by calling Drive_ListboxTest everytime there is a dialog event, so you are calling Layerload with every click.
  6. When you are attatching record information to a symbol, be sure to deselect everything before attatching the record while editing the symbol. If you have something selected the record information will be attatched to the selected object and not the symbol.
  7. The Spotlight workspace probably has the Resource Browser in list view mode, you can switch to an Icon view from the menu in the Rsource Browser. If it's in list view, and you are on a Mac, you need to double click on the name and not the icon on the List Browser. The Icon to the left of the name will not work.
  8. To get access to the complete Architectural libary you would need to upgrade to include Architect. Start looking for symbols at: http://www.vectordepot.com/ http://www.vectorbits.com/ and other sites listed at: http://www.nemetschek.net/partners/other_links.html
  9. You have to move layers too or the button won't enable. If you don't want to change the layer structure, just move all layers into the proposed list.
  10. For the basic stuff look in the SL-Scenic Elements.mcd file in the Object Library. The doors and windows are Plug-in objects so you can set the sizes of them once you place them in the document. Architect contains a much larger set of architectural type symbols. You also may want to take a look at some of the third party sites, many of them have symbol libaries available for download.
  11. Check directly with the Belgium distributor. Some distributors do have a seperate file format for educational versions. The US version uses the same file format to professional and educational versions.
  12. The MiniCad6 manual states that the name called is the name of the command in the menu. The 'M' may be a bullet, (option-8 accoring the the manual) It's used for calling externals. I have no clue what 1426 or NoKey would be, but the command can be used to call any script, so they may have been custom scripts. Kevin
  13. Send the problem file to tech@nemetschek.net. I cound not reproduce the problem on a test file. Kevin
  14. It sounds like the user origin has been moved. Try setting the user origin back and see if you get the results you expect.
  15. You should use "INSYMBOL" as part of the criteria. This will look inside of the symbol for objects, records, etc.
  16. RW9 uses system memory for rendering, not the memory dedicated to VW. It seems counterintutive, but try decreasing the memory dedicated to VW and make more available to the system, but if you are realy set at 100K (not M) you might want to try increasing the allocation. Have you changed versions of Quicktime recently? VW uses some components from QT to export images, so a new verson of QT may have changed some things. Go to Vegas, win big at the tables. Stop by the VectorWorks booth and spend some of you winnings on V11. It happened to someone two years ago at LDI.
  17. Use the hanging angle parameter on the straight truss.
  18. Bryan, 20mb sounds large for this file, what else is in the file? Textures, images? email the description of the problem and the file to tech@nemetschek.net.
  19. You can't add a folder to your favorites, you have to add the file as favorites. If the file is not being remembered from session to session there may be a problem with your permission settings. Email tech support directly and they can tell you exactly whay to check. We attempt to read the scale information from the DXF/DWG file if it is there, then we make an educated guess. It usually takes me a few attempts to get symbols imported in the correct scale. Usually it's mm or in for most of the symbol files that I have seen.
  20. It should generate several worksheets. Check the resource browser for them and make sure the Resource Browser is set to display worksheets.
  21. It's a bug and it has been bug listed. (B032643) It's only a problem with rectangular PIOs Linear and Point PIO are OK.
  22. The next release where we update the libraries will be 11.5. I can't say when we will release an update, but historically we have released on a regular cycle. Look at the release dates for 10, 10.5 and 11 and you should see the pattern.
  23. Renderworks does not currently support volumetric lighting that would be required to show projections in mid air. The weather effects are applied to the rendering and do not interact with the elements in the drawing.
  24. Check to see if you have an object or record named "Two-Fer Object". Try copying and pasting a two-fer object from another document just to see if the oibject works in the problem document. Check your layer and class snap options and make sure that you are clicking on instruments.
