Data visualisations in Equipment Summary Key

I'm not sure if I'm missing a setting somewhere but I can't get equipment summaries to show a data visualisation on the symbol key like an instrument summary would.

 

Is this option available?

@Scott C. Parker,   So with that criteria,   the 2D/3D geometry and the Equipment Summary shows the correct Data Vis,   however,   the Data Vis does NOT work on lighting devices in a schematic view.     When I shift the Data Vis criteria to make 2D/3D geometry and the lighting devices in Schematic View work the equipment summary no longer responds to data vis.    Is it possible to get it ALL to work at the same time?

I wonder if you need two data visualisations with the same colours but one for light info record and one for lighting devices in schematic.

This is what I was going to play with. It should work.

So,  two visualizations work,   however the problem then becomes keeping your colors synced between the two as fixtures change etc.     So it works,  but isn't ideal.

Just to piggy back onto this thread. I'm struggling to recreate this.

 

I have the data vis setup the same as in the above file, pointing to the Light Info Record. I can apply the Data Vis to the fixtures and to the old Instrument Summary object fine, but for some reason they are not applying to a Equipment Summary object. Any suggestions where I'm going wrong?

 

 

Also for the sake of my OCD, is there an option to align all the symbols along a central line instead of left aligned?

My route to get a coloured symbol and the same colour in the instrument summery is to just edit the colour of the 2D geometry in the resource browser.

Update 4.1 is out and offers the centering you're looking for. Once you update to the latest release, please test again and let us know how things go. You may need to update and/or rebuild your summary keys. We fixed an issue with them between updates 3 & 4.

Thanks Scott! that's solved the Data Vis issue, but the symbols still aren't aligning properly. I re inserted the Equipment summary from scratch in case it was a refresh issue. (Now on 2024 Update 5)

@tbexon, Widen the Spotlight Equip Summary Key dialog and use the Alignment column. Let me know if you have issues.

In this example, the strip light is aligned to the left and all others are centered. If the strip were assigned to be centered with the others, it would knock all the others far away from the left border box

Would you please install update 2.1 and then try again. If you're still having trouble, please post a file for us to test.
