  1. @bjoerka I was able to replicate the crash in Vectorworks 2023 and 2024. It seems to be an issue with reading the Site Topology data. I have submitted this issue under  VB-199444 (Internal database).

In the meantime, I suggest you import the Site Topology data as Revit Entity instead of Site Model/Site Modifier. The information will be imported as a mesh-like object, and the import will be successful. I will let you know of any fixes.

Most of this seems to be related to importing 2023 files. This is happening on multiple files and it's getting cumbersome to work in.

We have not been able to reproduce any of the items you described. However, it could be file-related. Could you send us via DM a file for testing? Thanks

  3. @Mat Caird Thank you for your report. I verified with our QA team that it is a bug in Vectorworks 2024. The issue was submitted under VB-198391 (internal database) and is currently scheduled to be fixed and released in Update 2 (November 2023).

The ".crdownload" file extension typically indicates that a file is being downloaded in Google Chrome but has not yet been completed. This might happen if a download is interrupted or if it's still in progress. Please ensure your internet connection is stable, or try downloading the file again if it was interrupted. Once the download is successful, the file should appear without the ".crdownload" extension in the destination folder.

  5. @beanus, I haven't been able to replicate your issue. Is this happening with all files or one in particular? I will suggest running the Repair command in the Advanced Options of the Vectorworks updater; if the problem persists, please get in touch with our support team at uktech@vectorworks.net
