fabrica
does anyone know if there's a way to turn off the default map type of 'surface UV' in VW 2022.SP.3. and use auto-align plane as default instead? The surface UV gets applied to any extrude etc and is a complete mess when in C4D (UV wise). Walls etc are auto-align map type and UV's are correct in C4D. Quote Link to comment
0 rDesign
You should be able to change the object’s mapping projection type on the Render tab of the OIP: Vw2022 Help : Managing Object Textures from the Object Info Palette Edited April 22, 2022 by rDesign added image from help file 1 Quote Link to comment
0 Andy Broomell
I don't know of a way to change the 'default' mapping type. I think you can only change the mapping per object once it exists. Would be a good improvement though to have the ability to determine this. While Surface UV is super useful in some scenarios, I've also had numerous issues with it. Plus Surface UV doesn't play well with the Attribute Mapping Tool. 0 fabrica
looks like all doors & windows in vectorworks are surface UV but walls are auto-align. Which means you have to go around each window and door in C4D to redo the UV's , along with any extrudes etc..... 🤯 1 Quote Link to comment
