  1. Andy Broomell's post in Saved Views - Redefine View needs a menu command was marked as the answer
Perhaps an even better solution would be to make the "Save View" window more versatile (since it already exists in all relevant locations including the View dropdown, so a hotkey can be assigned). In this window it could easier to directly update existing views; currently you have to perfectly retype the name of an existing view from memory.

The "View Name" field could start blank, as it does, if you want to make a view with a new name. But it could also have a dropdown arrow to choose from a list of existing saved views. So if you choose an existing saved view name then you're effectively Redefining it. (Perhaps the "OK" button changes to say "Redefine" if you're overwriting an existing view).

This would allow you to assign a keyboard shortcut to the existing Save View command under the View menu. Just adding a bit more versatility to an existing command without complicating anything.

Hmm... Is the Viewport set to Black and White only?
  3. Andy Broomell's post in Undo Redo view ala Cinema 4d was marked as the answer
These two arrows in the upper left of the screen are undo/redo view, irrespective of the the Undo/Redo commands.

    Is this what you mean?
  4. Andy Broomell's post in Sheet Border/ Title Block not linking to title in single file was marked as the answer
Try going to Document Preferences, Display tab, and double checking that "Use Automatic Drawing Coordination" is turned on.

  5. Andy Broomell's post in Custom Title Block - Multi-Line Text Fields Don't Automatically Wrap was marked as the answer
I've never had excess crashing when using Sheet Borders, so I'm not sure what's up there, but what you're describing about word wrapping isn't a bug as far as I'm aware, but rather is "working as designed"... or "broken as designed." It definitely needs attention because it doesn't function all that well.
  6. Andy Broomell's post in Mysterious "Ghost Shape" was marked as the answer
Just something to try if you haven't already... in your Design Layer turn on ALL of your classes (Alt-Click the Visible column), and make sure the Class Options is set to Show/Snap/Modify Others. Then do the same thing with Design Layers. Then perhaps the mystery object might appear?

I've had this issue before and doing the above helped. It turned out I had a 2D shape inside of an extrude that was on a different class than the extrude itself (I wish this weren't possible, btw), and although it wouldn't appear in the Design Layer because one class or the other was turned off, it would mysteriously render in the viewport even though the viewport's class settings were the same as on my Design Layer. Very strange.

THIS IS LITERALLY MY BIGGEST PET PEEVE WITHIN VECTORWORKS. YES YES YES PLEASE WORK ON THIS.

I encounter the types of things described above every single day and it really slows me down. It's something I've always wanted to wish for but there's just so much weirdness and it's so inconsistent I've never said anything about it. But it seriously needs to be addressed.
  8. Andy Broomell's post in Support for PNG transparency was marked as the answer
This was added in 2017! Woohoo!!
The ability to export PNGs with transparency has also been added. This would have saved me many hours of extra time in Photoshop a few months ago... ;)
