undo not working in some cases.

RussU

Question

Here's the steps to replicate, every time.

New file.

Plan view

Draw rectangle.

Extrude to an extent

Go to Isometric view. (Important)

Double click to edit Extrude.

Draw a new rectangle on top

Press ctrl+L to rotate Left... everything goes odd...

Press undo a couple of times and the shape creation goes, but the extrude is still twisted in space

Exit extrude, and see the very strange orientation of the original extrude.

Can post video if it helps.

2017 Sp3, Win 8.1 64bit.

For me undo deleted the previous rectangle first !?

Redoing, it forgot the CMD+L command at the end.

When I did CMD+L again (with same strange result) - Undoing worked fine.

But beside a bit strange Undo behavior.

The real Problem for me ist that there were any strange changes with VW 2017 in the way

how Extrudes work in Edit Mode. There is kind of an internal local coordinate System,

like Symbols have.

But this is mixed up with VW App Coordinate System and Origin for certain Commands like

like Cut and Place, Move, Rotate and such.

I have another instance of undo not working, which I noticed sometime after updating to VW2017 SP3:

Undo is not working with Callout tool--moving callouts, editing callouts, etc.--undo doesn't seem to work at all, and then prevents undos of earlier actions. Anyone else having this issue?

@CharlesJ You can find your signature under the avatar icon in the top right corner > Account settings (in the menu that drops down) > Signature (on the left side tabs). Currently your signature reads that you’re using Mac OS 10.10 and Vectorworks 2015.

If you can’t see your own signature, or even my signature, then perhaps the option to view signatures has been switched off for you. The option to view signatures can also be found in your Account Settings > Signature section.
