jmartinarch
I have a few objects that are colored (lets color A and color B) i want a new object with Color B but since VW doesn't label colors one has to go to the palette and hope you get the same or place the colored object the eyedropper it. Is there an easier way? I want to basically eydedrop a color before placing the new object. Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
there is an eyedropper tool to pick up and place attributes. Quote Link to comment
rDesign
Click the Preferences button for the Eyedropper tool, there is a checkbox for 'Pickup Sets Default'. Checking this box changes the default Attributes palette settings to match those of the source object; objects created from then on use the attributes of the source object. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Ah, since we are there now, if you want to change a color, to maybe the next darker color of that family, sometimes when you edit, the Color Palette highlights the current Color > but most often it does not. I would like to have that it does anytime. Edited September 29, 2015 by zoomer Quote Link to comment
AlanW
You have 3 tabs on the bottom when you select "Fill Color" Active Document (All the colours you selected are in here.) Maybe you are opening the other palettes first. Others are classic and standard. If you select a color from any of the other pallets and put in your drawing it shows in the original palate and the Active document palate. Even if i go back and forth between colors the chosen one highlights in the appropriate pallete. This is how it appears on my screen. 2015, Still waiting for Aus?NZ 2016 to be released, (Sad) Edited September 29, 2015 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I use Standard Vectorworks Colors* only. Seems to be working more reliable in VW 2016 now (?) When I try now it worked well every time so far. (Except the standard white and black) * Why can't I resize the Color Window to see all Standard VW Colors ? Even I have more Space on my 30" Display ? Benson Shaw
* Why can't I resize the Color Window to see all Standard VW Colors ? Even I have more Space on my 30" Display ? Agree! We should be able to corner drag or other process to scale the palette contents up and down. -B Quote Link to comment
zoomer
There are so many Setting Palettes that either can't be resized to what you need (The newest one ist the Marionette Browser, that even introduced a new Font Size) or simply don't remember the user scaling that you have to redo it each time that window will open again. And it does not seem to be one Window/Palette Type used but many different kind of these with different features and behaviors. Quote Link to comment
