Kaare Baekgaard
I really, really hate dash styles in the ressource browser. I wish it was back in its proper place. You know, the place where every other decision regarding lines are made. (I hope a little sarcasm is in order here) Quote Link to comment
0 rDesign
You know, the place where every other decision regarding lines are made. What place are you referring to? What's wrong with dash styles being in the RB? (perhaps I'm not understanding the sarcasm). If dash styles weren't in the Resource Browser, then they wouldn't be able to be shared and saved as a resource, which IMO would be a bad thing. Quote Link to comment
0 Kaare Baekgaard
Its really just a rant, because I seem unwilling to change with the times. Sorry to all. Quote Link to comment
0 Tom Klaber
-1 You still select the line type for an object in the same place on the attributes pallet. I think you might need to establish a globals file or template file so you are sure to load the correct styles for new documents. Quote Link to comment
0 Polly
Hi - I'm new to Vectorworks 2015, adjusting from 12.5 I don't keep Resource Browser open, typically, to reduce desktop clutter. I used to be able to select dash style on the attributes palette, from styles set up there in Preferences. Not finding them now - did you say there was a way to use them from the attributes palette? Thank you! Quote Link to comment
0 Benson Shaw
The are resources in the RB, but they are accessed via the Line Type heading in the Pen Style of the Attributes Palette. Each one that is accessed in the Attributes>Pen Style> Line Type is automatically added to the RB where it can be duplicated, renamed and edited/modified as a user custom Line Type. -B Quote Link to comment

Thank you! I usually leave the Resource Browser closed as well: I believe the keyboard shortcut to open and close the Resource Browser is Cmd+R. (Strange- but I don't see the RB keyboard shortcut being listed in the Vw2015 Help file). Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
I spend the same amount of time in all 3 Windows while drawing and need the Ressource Browser all the time to keep overview over my Symbols while modeling, Textures while Rendering, ... Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
On the other hand I would like to switch off things in ResBrowser that I don't need, like hatches, .... Modo has a nice Tabbed Layout, you can assign a "favorite"-star to the tabs and have a setting to show favorites only. Everything else will be hidden Quote Link to comment
0 Markvl
Yes. I would so like to turn off certain resources in the RB and remain off until I need them. So that when I come back to the file I'm not having to downsize the stuff I'm not currently needing. Quote Link to comment
