It amazes me that in the new features of v2012 is written that there are more options for tools in the mode bar. I think all options should be in there. (Maybe not all, but as many as possible). It is really time consuming to everytime go to the preferences and see if some items are checked.
As an example of this: the offset tool!
The two options: rounding off corners and create closed shape should really be on the mode bar. I use these a lot, and even when I don't need them, I always end up checking if they are on or off in the preferences pallette.
So for once, put such preferences in the mode bar! Even when you think it isn't used much, we need the visual check!
