New MacBook & VW/RW 2019 Design - Grey Out Key Commands - Select Wireframe, drawing remains rendered (SP6 build 522773)

Question

New MacBook & VW/RW 2019 Design - Grey Out Key Commands - Select Wireframe, drawing remains rendered (SP6 build 522773)

Out for 12 months (Pandemic layoff) back now -  updated to and attempting to use a New MacBook Pro with VW/RW 2019

Check for updates - VW/RW Up to date  - Close / open drawing - restarted app - restarted computer

Many Weird Issues ? Biggest problem at this point: Changing Views & Saved Views - No Visual Change.

1. Existing 2019 drawings opens with blank page - Key commands are greyed out - Select a Saved view, No visual Change

2. Open a new drawing to test & draw a rectangle, you get a blank page, until you pan up or down. Change the color on said rectangle, no change , until you pan up or down with the arrow keys.

3. Back to existing drawing (#1 above) Select a Saved (rendered) View, No visual Change , until you pan up or down. - Change Zoom with Key Commands or Cursor, no change , until you pan up or down. Change from Rendered to Wireframe with Key Commands or Cursor, no change , until you pan up or down. (or left / right)

¿ Suggestions ?

Thanks

Peter

VW 2019 does not support macOS 12 Monterey.

Only VW 2021 latest SP and VW 2022 and upwards will run fine on macOS 12.

Edit :

realized your signature, you are on macOS 11 - I assume this will require at least

VW 2020, latest SP.

So it would need to either downgrade macOS or to upgrade VW to get a nice

CAD experience again.

VW / RW 2019 runs as expected on two older Macs in or office

Only on this new MacBook pro does it appear to have these issues

If you are asserting that, 'these older Macs don't have issues with Vectorworks 2019 and they're on Monterey, therefore the new MacBook Pro should also be fine,' then there's two things to know:

  1. Consider it just, fortunate that Vectorworks 2019 is working on any Mac running Monterey, because as it is not supported for Monterey it is just luck/happenstance that it works at all.
  2. Given the MacBook Pro is new, it probably has the new Apple Silicon 'M1' processor. Vectorworks 2019, 2020 & 2021 (SP4) were written before this hardware was available so were not written to work on it.
