fhunt
Hi, Is there a way to assign an alternative schedule size for plants in landscape areas. I have a plant in the plant database at schedule size C1 in the plant style but for some other areas I require that plant to be a P9. Is there a way to assign the plant at an alternative size to its plant style in a landscape area without creating another plant in the resource manger solely for the smaller size? J. Wallace
@fhunt whenever I have run into similar challenges I make another plant symbol (duplicate the original in the resource browser) and give it another schedule size. Not ideal, but it works. Edited August 12, 2019 by J. Wallace Quote Link to comment
Popular Post Amanda McDermott
That is what I would assume you need to do as well - another request for the software development team please, it would be much more useful to be able to use the same symbol and assign it a variable size! Doesn't make sense to duplicate the same species as multiple symbols, increased risk of error, forgetting to edit both if you want to change something else about the species in another field. 6 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee bgoff Posted August 20, 2019 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 20, 2019 simply go to the advanced plant settings in the OIP and set a custom size per plant while using the same symbol. 1 Quote Link to comment
fhunt
@bgoff could you direct me a little further? I can't seem to find an option in the object info pallet which allows you to set custom sizes. screenshot attached. Quote Link to comment
bob cleaver
I believe you will find the custom size in the plant style of each plant Quote Link to comment
