illumine
Hey All, Can anyone please give me a tip on joining intersecting arcs and lines into one poly line? cheers Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted June 19, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 19, 2014 If the ends are snapped together, its Modify > Compose, with both object selected. I believe they both have to been on the same Plane as well. 1 Quote Link to comment
bcd
Try the Connect/Combine tool - but it cannot close the last segment (wish list) Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
To close the last segment, either Select the object and tick the OIP box for Closed or Snap a new line (arc, polyline) to the end points, select both the object and the new closing line and Compose, or apply the Connect/Combine tool in Dual Object Combine mode. -B 1 Quote Link to comment
bcd
opt 1 adds a new line rather than continuing the existing lines opt 2, produces the same result as opt 1, a new line with the incorrect alignment I'd like to C/C the open end of a polyline not close it Quote Link to comment

Jordan
Thank you @JustinVH I am importing lines from Rhino. I am having to convert these lines into polygons to activate the option to "close" them. Before converting to polygons this "closed" box was not appearing. I had to find another thread to learn about line types. LOL Edited June 25, 2019 by Jordan Quote Link to comment
barkest
@Jordan If the lines form a closed shape. This means you can have several lines that are not connected that either touch at the ends or over lap you can then use the fill shape (bucket) tool to fill the closed shape. Just select the bucket mode and click inside the closed area. Edited June 26, 2019 by barkest 2 Quote Link to comment
