  1. ^ This. The experience changes dramatically depending on how the PDF was created. Unfortunately, this is more of a useful trick than a fully fleshed out feature, it mainly isn't official because of its intermittent usefulness.
  2. Normally on the design layer, but it sort of doesn't matter since you will be packing it into a symbol, where it will end up residing in your resource browser and linked to via sheet borders. Its a good idea to create it at 1:1 scale originally though.
  3. I don't see what's wrong with this door, when I create a new sample door with similar settings, the panels take the texture of the glazing class rather than its solid fill, but it is certainly not doing so in your door. If I revert the Leaf to Glass instead of Panel, it takes the texture as expected, but if I set it back to Panel it takes the solid fill rather than the texture, which is not the case in other doors I have created before and in a test case I made here. I don't think you have done anything incorrectly, submitting this as an issue now.
  4. I am actually able to do this now with circles, rectangles and other planar geometry, are you able to do the same in a test file or does it still require the conversion to NURBS curves on your end? When I use a Circle for instance projected (in Add mode) onto the top of a sphere, it creates a Generic Solid rather than a NURBS surface.
  5. Submitting the sortability request separately now.
  6. Perhaps hover-over could trigger a much larger preview to pop up onscreen temporarily, then it would vanish after clicking or mousing away?
  7. For the preview aspect of the request, would this be a permanent setting, such as a scaling slider for the Hatches section of the resource browser that could be set at something like 125% and then left alone? Or would be be smoother and more intuitive for simply scrolling the mouse in and out over a given hatch to scale the preview for that particular thumbnail up and down accordingly, keeping that setting until changed by the user?
  8. We are taking another look at this behavior and the overall behavior of deleting/replacing resources such as: Gradients Hatches Images Line Types Record Formats Renderworks Backgrounds Renderworks Styles Renderworks Textures Sketch Styles Slab Styles Text Styles Tiles Wall Styles Symbols
  9. Post that door in a VWX file here please, and I can take a look.
  10. In the Door Settings, under the Leaf pane, near the bottom I believe you have to check "Glazing in Top Panels" otherwise it will render them as solid. If you check that option, it should then place them in the regular Glazing class with the lights and transom panels.
  11. Yes, correct. Apologies, when I first read your request I had gotten the impression you were trying to undo the rotation. Other than rotating the whole model around within the file, I do not know of a way to get the Rotated Plan effect in Fundamentals while still retaining the capabilities of Top/Plan view.
  12. If you reduce the amount of undos to 20, then save, close Vectorworks, re-open and try an undo of an operation in one of those 100mb files, does it take the same amount of time?
  13. It's design series only it looks like. To un-rotate though, you should be able to select View > Standard Views > top Plan, that should pop it back into place if another user has rotated it in another version of Vectorworks.
  14. 1) I'll grab a 10.10 machine and test it, working alright on Windows 8.1 and 10.9.5. If I can replicate, I'll submit it as an issue now. 2) Thats on the wishlist already, it wasn't designed to allow that originally, apparently. I'll add this thread to the case.
  15. This is on the wishlist already, I'll add this post to the case. Could you elaborate on what you want it to do? Or is this similar to your Project tool question in another thread?
  16. Yes, the Project tool in the 3D Modeling workspace does this in a number of different ways: Project and Add: http://app-help.nemetschek.net/2015/NNA/eng/VW2015_Guide/Shapes2/Project_and_Add.htm?rhsearch=project&rhsyns=%20 Project and Split: http://app-help.nemetschek.net/2015/NNA/eng/VW2015_Guide/Shapes2/Project_and_Split.htm?rhsearch=project&rhsyns=%20 Project and Trim: http://app-help.nemetschek.net/2015/NNA/eng/VW2015_Guide/Shapes2/Project_and_Trim.htm?rhsearch=project&rhsyns=%20
  17. Does it even happen in those 100mb files with simple operations? For instance, does it take much longer to undo the drawing of a simple rectangle than it does to draw it? Or is it only undoing complex actions that takes so long?
  18. If a rotated plan has been set in the document before, it will remain listed in the view dropdown (not the View > Standard Views menu) and you can toggle between the rotated and normal views. I am not sure when this was added.
  19. Agreed. I believe something like this was submitted recently, if not I will create a new request now.
  20. I'll submit a request, no guarantee when it would appear.
  21. What version of Vectorworks are you using? In Vectorworks 2015 there is a Curtain Wall tool that you can insert door and window objects into directly, they should then appear on a schedule.
