Cutting Sinks into Countertops and Landmark.

Recommended Posts

I'm interested in what people do when designing outdoor kitchens in Landmark.

When I had the trial designer version I thought I just dropped a sink on a countertop and it cut itself in - but in Landmark I'm not seeing anything like that.

And my google-fu seems to be lacking when it come to finding ANY tutorials on how to cut a sink into a countertop.

Anyone have a good workflow for sinks and countertops?

I use floor objects for countertops.  That way there isn't a line in plan view at every base cabinet and you can have custom shapes for peninsulas and islands.  Just draw a shape and clip the floor object.

@hollister design Studio use standard 2D poly to shape the countertop. use any shape to create the hole or holes. Extrude shape. This allows for easy manipulation of original geometry and addition or subtraction of any shape to the countertop.

As a note I then create auto hybrid. and create a symbol. Just my workflow.

Also I am not a fan of using floors for countertops. Why??? Because do you like preparing food on the floor??  🙂

hameless plug: interiorcad does this.

Does the xs version do this or just the full version?
