Guest Blars
Is there a code within vectorworks that will input the stacked "Plus Minus" symbol? Adding "(+/-)" is as long as a 0'-0" dimension itself and just looks stupid. I see it used under the "Tol:" object info, but there seems to be no way to use just the +/- as a simple stacked symbol. Please help. Thanks. Quote Link to comment

Guest Blars
I managed to figure out that: OPT+O = "DIAMETER" OPT+0 (ZERO) -OR- OPT+K = "DEGREE" SYMBOL OPT+G = "COPYWRIGHT" OPT+R = "TRADEMARK" OPT+(+) = "NOT EQUAL" THANKS! I wouldnt have guessed that i needed to hold those two keys together. Looks like the top number row are the only keys with double symbols assigned in this way. OPT+SHIFT+(+) = "PLUS MINUS" BOOM! THANKS AGAIN! Quote Link to comment

Andy Broomell
Whenever I don't know the code for a character I just Google search it (such as "plus minus symbol"), then copy and paste. Quote Link to comment
Jim Smith
My 2¢ (OPTION + 4) I also use SHIFT+ OPTION+O to get a larger Ø character Prior to FONT BOOK on Mac there was something, I forget what it was called, that allowed one to see what & where the "hidden" characters were laid out on a keyboard. Now as Andy says, if I can't readily find a character I search for it on line on line. Quote Link to comment
bcd
I believe it was the Character Viewer on Mac is now the Emoji & Symbol Viewer System Preferences>Show Keyboard, Emoji, & Symbol Viewers in menu bar. The icon pops up in the top right of your screen 1 Quote Link to comment
