X- Y- Z-axes of groups

Bas Vellekoop

Question

I would like to have to ability to move groups in perspective view and change X- Y- Z-values in the OIP.

As well the scale factor

I would be great to have the same options as for symbols

And maybe something like in picture 2 is possible?

Vectorworks could use out most left, middle, center etc. for placement. So placement is not directly related to the geometry but the bounding box of the grouped obects

+1 for being able to move groups in 3D.

No offense, but I'm wary of the second part, it reminds me of Tic Tac Toe in 3D and looks overly complicated. Maybe another way would be if you could display and snap to the faces & edges of the bounding box, perhaps a variation on the Clip Cube appearance.

Thanks Benson, The cube/illustration is made in VW and put together in Photoshop.

rDesign: no offense taken, maybe an interactive display of highlighting sides, midpoints or corners when you hover over the cube in the OIP would be better?

edit: maybe we can add this to other kind of objects as well like solid subtractions etc. Would be an easy way to move object in 3d space
