3d rotation of slab or floor

I've seen this requested a number of times as a wishlist item, currently you cant tilt floors or slabs directly since they're hybrid objects. There are many circumstances in which you would, for theatre seating, drainage etc.

Adding this thread to the most recent request.

Rather than just tilt/rotate, I've put this in a request to allow full 3D modification of slabs as well. Sort of like the clipping works now with 2D geometry for creating holes in slabs, but allowing more complex 3D object to be subtracted from a slab to allow for either a simple slant (you would just subtract a wedge shape from a standard rectangular slab) as well as more complex drainage shapes.

Perhaps I'm misreading this, but - for example - it sounds like this would create a concrete slab with tapering thickness, i.e. the bottom of the slab would be level and the top of the slab would be sloping.

In my U.S. construction experience - this is not how a sloping slab would be constructed. Typically, staying with this example, both the sub-grade and the gravel base would be sloped at the same pitch as the top of slab, which creates a sloping concrete slab having a consistent thickness.

Correct, since there are so many different use cases, I requested the ability to both do as you describe as well as some 3D solids subtraction for direct cutting. I didn't mean to imply that you would HAVE to cut into a slab and not be able to slope/rotate it as originally requested, my mistake.
