Mike_Borean
Hello, Newbie here again. How do we format the dimension in the property line tool. My current project is showing feet and decimal inches. I would like to show decimal feet. For Example: my drawing shows 129'11.28" and I would prefer 129.94'. I've searched the kbase and the forums with no luck. Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment

Mike_Borean
Awesome! Thanks for the tip. I'll try it in the morning. I'm curious though, won't that adjust all the drawings in the document? Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Yes it will. I don't think you can have two different standards in the same document. (Maybe someone else will know better.) mk Quote Link to comment
M5d
I put a request in the wish list forum for the property line tool to have independent units from the drawing some time ago. If you dig it up and add your voice, it may help. Quote Link to comment

bcd
A simple workaround is to change the Document Settings>Units to m (or feet etc), create the property line then change the Document Settings>Units back to mm, feet & inches etc. The dimension style used at creation will stick with the property line. All that's really needed is for the Property Line tool to recognize custom Dual Dimensions. Quote Link to comment
Mike_Borean
Thanks for the work around! I will try it. Things that I will test: I'm too deep into a project to change the dim' standards, so I will create the property line in a new document and attempt to import it into my current project. Change the dim standards, create the property drawing, change the standards back and hope that the rest of my drawings are unscathed. Its comforting to see that some of my issues aren't due to my inexperience. Thanks again for all the help. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Brian Nice! I would have bet almost anything that as soon as the property line object "refreshed" it would take on the current unit setting. Ya learn something new every day.... mk Quote Link to comment
bcd
should have taken that bet before you checked Quote Link to comment
