beanus
does anyone know if there is a script for creating simple 2d doors & windows Quote Link to comment
Gerard Jonker
Are there not in your workspace yet? Standard Vectorworks ships with some plugin objects. -Open your Workspace editor, (tool menu or File menu) -Edit the current -Klick in the next window on the top centre button. (Tools) -Drag a new palette from top left to right. -Open "All Tools" by klicking the triangle and scroll down to Door, Simple Door, Simple Window -Drag the tools (in this case PIO's) from left to right in your palette. -Save the WorkSpace. Have fun, Gerard Quote Link to comment
beanus
do you mean the tools that come with Vectorworks Architect?, I was just wondering if there was a simplified version that would only draw the 2D parts Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
An option for 2D sections through simple windows: http://www.vectordepot.com/market/vm-024_window_section_tool.html Quote Link to comment
willofmaine
I don't know of any simplified 2D door & window PIOs, but it seems you could make 2D symbols for them very easily, and use those. Remember when making them that 'up' on the screen would be the outside of the wall, and 'down' of course the inside. When you place them in walls, they'll take on the orientation of the wall. They won't assume the thickness of the wall, though, as the PIOs will do. HTH Quote Link to comment
