Nomad & offilne work

Question

Just tried to use my Ipad & Nomad again today for measuring up work.

Nomad really needs to be able to add folders and organize information when offline and on the jobsite. I also need better tools for syncing when back and connected. All of the *.HEIC files uploaded but none of the *_gravity.txt files did. Having to do that file by file now...

Thanks,

Rudy Beuc

For me the VW cloud is also hindering in Nomad.

iPhone may be even plugged in to the Mac but you

need to wait for synching it up and back down to Mac.

(And again if you rename or move files)

I would prefer my Nomad output to go directly into iOS Finder.

I could live with a slow steady sync, just get it all and give me some feedback about progress.

If I could organize it all in individual folders while on the jobsite, perhaps it could upload in digestible pieces.

Right now the situation is untenable.

Thanks,

I am confused about how this is meant to work. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong but the last time I used Nomad to create point clouds with Lidar I ended up having to transfer the files from my iPad onto a USB stick in order to get them onto my iMac. They didn't upload to my VCS automatically + I couldn't seem to do it manually either. Whereas the previous time I did it I could drag the files to my Nomad folder + this would upload them. Dragging them into my iCloud folder worked but in the end it was quicker to just do it by USB stick...

When I previously used 'Create a room plan with Lidar' the resultant files automatically appeared in my VCS folder meaning I didn't have to do anything in order to access them from my iMac. Why doesn't the same happen with the .PTS files...?

When I transfer files to iCloud or my work Google drive I have progress indicators so I know that it's happening whereas with Nomad/VCS I am most times in the dark as to whether anything's happening or not.

Well, I am iOS only here as my iPad Air 2's latest iPadOS does not allow the newest

Nomad versions or use of Apple APIs.

(I wonder why Nomad hints me to their new version every Nomad start anyway)

So on newest iOS and Nomad, there is no difference between Room Plan or

Point Cloud PTS here. Both synch to VW Cloud.

(I do not have activated dropbox or other cloud synch for Nomad)

I added Nomad to Finder App Access list and I even see a Nomad Folder

but there is nothing in.
