  2. Have you tried the Remove Wall Breaks tool? This will break them up and you can rejoin them. Hope that helps.
  3. Hi Yes, as soon as you place a light source into a drawing, the default light is turned off. So, if your light sources are also turned off, all will be black. Choose Window > Palettes > Visualization to open the Visualization palette and there you can turn on your lights.
  4. Sounds like you have Auto-classing turned on. If you look at File > Document Settings > Standard Naming, you can check. However, you might find that if you work with the standard class list that works alongside Auto-classing, it can save you a lot of time. Alternatively, if you find that a struggle, you can turn it off.
  5. Hmmm - I'm not sure about bug. If you look in VW Help, it explains how to make custom symbols and position of the Locus is documented there... Anyway, I'm sorry if I spoiled your Saturday!
  6. Hi Horst You are quite right - the body of the symbol MUST be symmetrically arranged around the locus and the locus must at 0 on the Y axis within the symbol editor too. Otherwise the focus will be off.
  7. Hi It sounds like you have inadvertently click on the first mode of the Selection tool which turns off interactive scaling mode. So, you will find that the handles have gone from everything in fact! Click the Selection tool and on the tool bar at the top of the screen, click on the second mode. All will be well! Hope that helps

  10. You are quite right Christiaan - sorry - I was away from my laptop when I answered you and I gave you a wrong lead. You cannot add Lit Fog as an option for a Heliodon - or for a directional light either. You will need to create Spot or Point Lights to create that effect. You can do this using the Light tool in Visualization tool set.
  11. Window > Palettes > Visualization Click Lights, right-click your sunlight and choose edit. check Lit Fog. Bear in mind also that a directional light (a Heliodon is a directional light) is like a giant plane in the sky emitting light. It may not create the effect you want. You might want to use a Spot instead to create the beams you are looking for.
  12. May sound a stupid question - but I can see your viewport is out of date. Did you update it? And although you have the background set for Lit fog, does your light source also have lit fog turned on?
  13. Are you using bouncing of light? Have you tried the Renderworks Interior Final style? That gives pretty good results to get you started and you can always tweak the style to suit your needs. It does bounce light four times so will take a little time to complete. If you want to be able to see rays of light, you may want to turn on Lit Fog on the light that the Heliodon creates.
  14. Hi Yes - Tools > Reports > Create Report. Create a report based on the Site Model record and choose the fields you want to include in your report. That will list the information you need in a worksheet. The 3D Polys that you use as source data do not need to be in the Site-DTM-Modifier class, but as Marc has already drawn his proposed contours as 3D Polygons, he will need to put those in the Site-DTM-Modifier class to get them to behave as modifiers on his site.
  15. Sounds like your walls are using a wall style, which gets its attributes from within the wall definition itself. If you want to use the attributes palette instead, select the walls and choose Style: Convert to Unstyled on the Object Info palette. If your wall has components, click Components on the same palette to edit them and choose fills for each component. Hope that helps!
  16. You're welcome - as I said, it is a very brief overview of the process you need to follow, but it will set you in the right direction.
  17. Hi Elena That's the Polygon Display setting within the plant definition. You can select the plant group and change it on the Object Info palette.
  18. Select your Viewport and on the Object Info palette, click Layers and make sure the relevant layers are visible there.
  19. Hi Marc You need to create a Site Model. Here's a brief summary of the process: You'll need to convert both sets of 2D contours into 3D Polygons and set their Z value to their respective heights. Select the contours that relate to the existing site and choose Landmark > Create Site Model. Complete the dialog and click OK. Now, select your proposed contours and add them to the class Site-DTM-Modifier. Select your model and choose Update. Then, you can choose Update Cut and Fill calculations on the Object Info palette. Good luck!
  20. HI Elena Is it possible that you have been creating your own plant symbols from scratch? If so, check the current default opacity setting on the Attributes palette. If it's not 100%, your plants have been created with less that 100% opacity embedded in them. I have found that when placed this way, the transparency gets worse and worse the more you place. I have already reported this as a bug. If it's NOT that, you are welcome to send me your drawing (or a small extract of it in a fresh file) and I'll happily take a look at your plant settings. Hope that helps
  21. Hmmm - the Place Plant tool in Landmark does a great job of this... but I guess you don't want that as an answer!
