  1. If its THAT custom I am not sure if there is anything we'd be able to do, but sure, send it in and i'll submit it.
  2. Then for that font it will have to have Rasterized Text, or a different font would have to be used. What were the names (and types) of all of the fonts used that have failed you so far? I have not submitted specific font names before as requests, but there may be something that can be done in future releases to support them.
  3. If thats the case, then sometimes it can be resolved while leaving Rasterize off, by going to Tools > Options > Vectorworks Preferences > Display and changing the setting for GDI Imaging (Windows) or Quartz Imaging (Mac). Some fonts need it on, some need it off. It doesn't always work with any font, but its worth trying when custom fonts aren't behaving properly. However that option can affect your transparencies if used in the document, so make sure to check them before printing.
  4. Normally ive seen this done a few ways: Add the skirting as a wall component for that particular wall style. A component could be added to the inside of the wall that functions as this skirt/baseboard. For very complex runs, extrude along path, just tracing out (or extractive a curve/path from the walls directly) where youd want the skirting to follow, then extruding a profile of it along the entire thing at once, or at least in large chunks.
  5. Nothing faster as a workaround unfortunately, looks like something for the wishlist.
  6. When "Arial" or "Times New Roman" is used in those tests, what occurs?
  7. If you hold down the Shift key, it should lock you to one of the main axes in those scenarios.
  8. Clarifying: The wall recess depth, determined by that particular symbol's geometry when inserted into the wall, you mean?
  9. Was just about to post that! http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/749/Logging+Time+in+Vectorworks
  10. ^ That. http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/784/Batch+Conversion+of+older+Vectorworks+files
  11. That one is already on the list, I agree that it should be possible.
  12. We have had a few users encounter this problem recently when they migrated/updated to 10.9 when Vectorworks 2013 was already installed. Try the following to create a new admin test account and tell me if the same issue occurs when logged into the new account: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/805/Creating+a+New+User+Account+%28Mac+OS+X%29
  13. Yep, Export Stereo Lithography (I submitted a request to have it renamed to "Export STL" to avoid confusion) will do it. A good general rule is to export with the greatest amount of polygons possible, then repair the STL in something like Netfabb. ASCII or Binary do not seem to matter except in situations where one format is specifically requested. Some more tips here: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1124/Improving+STL+File+Export
  14. Looks like these settings apply to the 3D components of a Window, not the 2D. This is stated in the Help documentation, but it does not mention it in the actual interface itself. Submitting a request to have it made clearer in the dialogue box text.
  15. Wait, you did not delete the entire Wow6432Node folder itself, did you? It should only have been the "Nemetschek" folder inside the Wow6432Node directory that was removed.
  16. You can try that, it should work if you close it and start from step 1 again.
  17. Vectorworks was closed when you were performing these steps?
  18. Go ahead and perform a preference reset on the affected machine: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1099/Resetting+Vectorworks+Preferences Let me know the results.
  19. Does the same thing happen after updating to the latest SP for that version? http://www.vectorworks.net/downloads/ServicePack.php?major=2012&servicepack=5
  20. What method are you referencing in the DWG with? Are you able to select the DWG components separately or do they appear as one combined object?
  21. Send me that file at tech@vectorworks.net and ill take a look. No reason they should give different output if no visibility changes are happening between exports.
  22. Confirmed here. Classed every single item and shut it off as a test, the exterior trim just doesn't disappear no matter what I assign it to. They seem tied directly to the Window's class visibility. Same with Interior trim as well, it looks like. Submitting as an issue now.
  23. Which SP of Vectorworks 2012 are you using? Does this even happen in a new, blank file (not a template)?
  24. Which font are you using? If you switch to a standard system font does it scramble the text as well?
  25. Tools > Options > Vectorworks Preferences > Session > Reset Saved Settings should be what you are looking for.
