  1. Have you updated to 12.5.3? As michaelk pointed out, that version is not compatible with your OS, there may be no solution. If you want to send me your drawing I could create the PDFs for you. Private message me for my email.
  2. While in the Design Layer, draw a rectangle around the portion you want to show in your viewport and leave it selected. Go to the View menu and choose Create Viewport. In the dialog that asks if you want to use the rectangle as the crop object click yes. Is this not working for you?
  3. You create viewports in Design Layers.
  4. Something is not making sense, you can't create a viewport when in a Sheet Layer. Could you give a detailed description of your exact steps?
  5. How are you entering Edit Crop mode? Please create a signature with your version of Vectorworks including updates and computer specs including OS. Click on the My Stuff link at the top, Edit Profile.
  6. While Robert is correct and updating video drivers may solve your problem, your video is integrated on the motherboard, and may be inadequate to run VW. VW 2010 takes a lot more video power that VW 2008. You may want to consider buying a video card, one in the $50 range would be much more powerful than what you have.
  7. The best way is to cut the holes before extruding if possible with Clip Surface. To do it on an extrude, extrude a circle, then Subtract Solids.
  8. Vpkg file are compressed files for installation. http://www.google.com/search?q=vpkg+files&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
  9. VW 2011 SP1 was released today. It looks like Kensington has written a new application for trackballs so I may be going back to 64 bit.
  10. You could convert the cube to nurbs, ungroup and you will have 6 individual sides.
  11. It's dependent on your printer driver, not VW. You may need to try and install an older printer that doesn't need to be connected. A search on Google seems to have some advice: http://www.google.com/search?q=printer+to+install+for+.plt+files&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#q=printer+to+install+for+.plt+files&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=2qW&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=iv&ei=aGKrTLfgA4G8lQesqdGQCQ&start=20&sa=N&fp=84f34ab5383c7ee9 I used to do this many years ago, and I think this is the printer I installed: http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom〈=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=designjet+800&submit=Go+%BB
  12. Did you do a Select All and View menu>Zoom>Fit to Objects? This way you can check if an object is way off in the distance.
  13. VW will only export to three previous versions, so you would need to export VW 12 or VW 2008, then export to VW 10 from those versions.
  14. Click on the Switch to Full Reply Screen button below and use File Manager to upload files.
  15. That's too bad. I've had a bad disk before, I received a new one fairly quick.
  16. Try copying the contents of the DVD to your hard drive and install from there.
  17. Use decimals, like .5 to scale down by half.
  18. Modify menu>Scale Objects... I believe it was still there in VW 2008.
  19. I'm getting the same behavior. Do you mind if I file a bug with your file?
  20. Could you post your template here that shows the problem?
  21. There is a known bug with the Rounded Rectangle tool when zoomed in close (around 500%) that shows this.
  22. This shouldn't be happening. If you create a new file does it still happen?
