  1. It's going to be really tricky to get anything of usable quality. Have you considered using photography to create image props in their stead?
  2. Why not assemble the information in Excel rather in VW and let your Library file be just that rather than a stock keeper as well. Export the Worksheet for each Job file separately Import all to Excel Compare against stock quantities. it's not live but will do the trick
  3. Good point Kevin - hadn't considered that.
  4. They just have to be vector based pdf's. If you zoom really close to a curved line and see it pixellated you are working with a raster pdf and will not be able to snap to it. Otherwise it may just be a case that you PDF is on a separate layer and you don't have Layer options Snap to Others selected.
  5. HI Ray, I didn't check the box. If I reclass the group I don't encounter the dialogue when ungrouping, if I leave it as is then the dialogue appears. I can do this repeatedly. also - what is class information?
  6. I think those bars are flat - & pierced to create an interlock. You could use this image and create a mask as a source for an image prop to place in your castle window opening.
  7. Try tracing the perimeter of the pool using the polyline tool - Tangent Arc mode. The resulting offset will also be an arc based polyline and you can view/edit the radii in the OIP.
  8. yes - unless I'm missing something it looks like an honest bug
  9. I think I'm not understanding your question - re equal points on a radius. Have you tried the offset tool (Shift -)
  10. What does that really mean "ungroup objects with class information?" I notice when I change the class of the group I can ungroup it without encountering the UOWROCI dialog.
  11. Is something within the group locked?
  12. One quick way is, rather than using yellow, apply the white siding as the wall texture. Then in the OIP - under the Render tab click on the little down triangle next to the Texture-Siding White drop down. Select Edit Image Shader then FilterColor -and select your favourite color for the siding.
  13. True-, expecting the unexpected Merging objects in various Classes can be done in the same way - and additionally if you try and delete a class in the Organization window you will have the option to reassign objects to a new class first.
  14. In the OIP you can see an object's layer. Change the drop down to your common layer. You can select all first and do this for all selected objects. If Layer View Options is set to Snap/View/Modify Others it will work for objects on all visible layers. If your layers are a different scales you might get unexpected results.
  15. Thanks for responding Pat, Is it normal for a view change to be happening? It turns out the handles of the offending objects appear with a double click. The Nurbs Circle is particularly peculiar. Bug submit time I think.
  16. Thanks Bruce, Well that didn't work either. Are you seeing this view change when you invoke the Nurbs Circle tool, as an example? I'm trying to identify if it's a bug or something askew on my system. Thanks,
  17. Try it with 2 wiggly nurbs. Identical except scale the topmost by 50% in the y -direction. and center them on both axis Select both. Model>Multiple Extrude - enter your drape height.
  18. Would making the wall full thickness help? And reducing it's thickness everywhere except the pony wall using Clip Surface as needed?
  19. ykes, cheese-grater meets guillotine, a happy afternoon. The process looks like it's worth a look though.

    Text Sizes

What size sheet is you Sheet Layer - Is your printed sheet the same? Is it only text that is re-scaling for you - or will a square print out the correct size?
  21. More on this: - Invoking the nurbs curve tool automatically changes the view from top/plan to top. Likewise for most of the 3d creation tools??? This explains the missing handles on some of the 3d objects, they reappear in Top/Plan view - some but not all. eg. Sphere, Cone, still no handles 3d polygon, handles reappear when reverting to Top/Plan. This is happening in the default workspaces, and in Layer & Screen Plane.
  22. Yep. Didn't work though. I reset the Interactive appearance settings- no change. Very bizarre, no?
  23. If you run the AEC>Framing>Wall Framer command this will produce a frame model on a new layer. You can view this together with your model in a Section Viewport to get you closer to the VWexample above. Note: As Peter says, 2d annotation will probably be needed to give you the 2d Detail represented in the example. Also - the Framer Tool is not live. Changes to your model will not be reflected in the frame model and you would need to re-run it.
