Switching workspaces is shutting down VW

As in the title, selecting any change of workspace immediately shuts down VW

No spinning ball or greyed out window - just disappears.

 

I have three custom workspaces

What happens if you switch to a default workspace instead of your custom ones? 

 

I have not heard of this happening before, but I can imagine it happening due to a corrupted workspace.  Do you have backup copies of your workspaces from before this started happening that you could restore and try?

If I have a corrupted workspace will deleting from my user folder be the best option and just recreating from scratch?

I do have clear notes on my changes.

 

I have had many issues in the last year and you've often mentioned corrupt workspace (VW is still deleting my preferences at least twice a week and loading up in 'Fundamentals').

I'm a small office (with a lot of projects on the boards) and never feel like I can allot time to rebuilding workspaces...

But honestly VW crashing as often as it does doesn't help me get project done either.

That’s why I don’t use customized workspaces.  Things always break when deadlines are critical.

 

I just did a lighting diagram with colored pencils because they don’t randomly crash when I sharped them 🙂

Workspaces are stored in the user folder so replacing the user folder should solve the problem. But if it is just a corrupted workspace you shouldn't need to  replace the entire user folder, just the specific workspace files or the workspace folder inside the user folder should be enough.
