google translate:

"The report can only display wireframe images with dynamic attributes as you wish, only if the symbol used by the truss has a 2D representation. This is the case for the SC300 - 3m which is visible with its 2D representation in the 2D plane. If the truss element is placed vertically, the tool rebuilds a 3D symbol from the original symbol. That's why you have several 3D symbols appearing in your resource manager.
One solution would be to make 2D/3D symbols specific to each position of bridge elements in the drawing. A simpler solution would be to cheat a little with the visibility of the objects and the board by putting the missing elements on the 2D plan drawing for the board to read them and display the images.

Does the pipe have the same record?

BTW one solution to all of this is to create a custom record that you apply to as many objects as you want: truss, pipe, clamps, hardware, hoists... By using the same custom record, you only have to create 1 data vis rule (vs the same rule for each record). If necessary, you can use the Data Manager to refine that with mappings, calculations... That might sound like "a lot" but I find the stock stuff is a starting point but you're limited to the records provided (and which objects have which records but not others). Once you customize the record, you're mostly limited by your own imagination. And you definitely have a good handle on this stuff based on the posts above.

I dont use pipe , this is truss elt (asd ex50) .

The french support explain me that : in order to work as expected the datavis need an hybrid symbol with a 2d representation and when the truss isn't in "native" position, i mean rotated or vertical or... the truss elt as no 2d symbol and vectorworks build a new symbol with 3d at the end

@Ben59 Sorry for the slow response,
The explanation from the French distributor makes sense, since when the use 3D check box on a truss object is used (automatically when the truss has a hanging angle or roll applied) it creates a new 3D geometry only version of the symbol in the resource manager, so there's no 2D geometry o be used/displayed in the worksheet.
The workflow shown by @livespace josha which uses the simplified geometry of the truss is probably the best option, since this always present in both versions of the symbols.
Something to remember is that you can save your Live data visualization's and the corresponding worksheets into a user or workgroup library folder, or your template file, to be reused in future projects, so you only have to edit them for each project rather than recreate them from scratch each time.
Also if you use the Truss object Name field as the parameter this normally has the length of the truss section included in it, either in cm (metric) or feet (US), which will in many cases remove the need to edit the data vis legend

Would you mind explaining this to the Purge command?
