Charlie Serf
This is a viewport of the roof plan I've created that turned solid lines to dash and no fill. I couldn't do it now with the Viewport Advance Properties in Ver. 2017. Thank you in advance for your help. Quote Link to comment
Charlie Serf
Viewport Object Info -> Classes -> Classes Override checked. So what's next? Where do I set line types, no fill, etc.? Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
The 'Class Overrides' check box is only relevant if your viewport contains a Design Layer Viewport so you should probably ignore that. You just need to select the class you want to edit then click on the 'Edit...' button. Any changes to the class attributes you make here relate to this viewport only. Classes which have been edited in the viewport have a 'viewport' icon in the fourth column. Whereas the 'VW' icon indicates that the class has not been edited + retains the original attributes. It looks like you've edited quite a few of the classes already. Click on 'Revert' to return an edited class to its original state Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
Also note that objects will only take on viewport overrides if their attributes are set to "By Class." Any attributes that are local to the object won't be altered by viewport overrides. (That's because you're overriding the class definitions, not literally overriding the attributes of any objects.) Lastly, bear in mind that it depends on the type of object as well. For example, an Extrude wouldn't show a line type with a viewport override, because Extrudes can't display linetypes in wireframe even on the Design Layer. But it would display an override of the Pen Color, for example. Edited February 14, 2021 by Andy Broomell 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie Serf
Tom: It worked! I really appreciate your accurate and detailed answer to my question. Thank you so much. Andy, thank you for the extra info. I will add this to my own VW Procedures manual. 1 Quote Link to comment
Boh
I've just started using v2021. Has anyone else noticed the eyedropper tool doesn't seem to be picking up/applying vp overrides in v2021? Is this a known bug or is it just me? Cheers Quote Link to comment
