grant_PD
Whenever I make a new sheet layer the print default is 72 dpi. I only ever make a print at 300 dpi. Is there some way to set this from the beginning, so that I don't have to manually change this every time? In general, I find the print setups for VW to be very cumbersome. There seems to be too many layers of control: -Each sheet layer -Vectorworks settings -OS/pdf settings. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Agreed...printing preference should be able to control this. If you just happen to miss re-setting the Sheet from 72dpi you end up with a wasted plot or worse. As grant_PD notes there are just too may layers of control ( or chaos). Quote Link to comment
DDDesign
I don't see this strictly as a print setting, but as a display setting, but I'd agree set-ups are cumbersome. What I'd like to see is a method of setting Sheet Layer display and printing prefs separately - and universally throught the document. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
I understand that the DPI settings that you are referring to on the sheet layer, only affects rendered views. That is they have no effect on plans, elevations and sections. the only sheet layers that I change the dpi settings for are sheet layers with a rendered view. Quote Link to comment
Travis
One can always set up a template with one (or more) sheets that are already set to 300dpi. Use your standard sheet name(s), or simply name them 300-a, 300-b, etc. Good luck, Quote Link to comment
