Technoflash
Hi Has anyone had the Smart Cursor spontaneously turn off certain features during a session. I have a drawing at the moment in which Smart Cursor wont find corners or centres. (Yes it is turned on in the VW Prefs). It seem to do everything else without a problem (ie angles, alignments etc) If I open a new project it works fine, if I open an existing project it works fine. It just won't work on this drawing. I have relaunched the program...no effect. I have rebooted the machine...no effect. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Check - your snap settings are on on the Snap Pallette - that you are in Top Plan view and not Top view If that doesn't help try resetting your VW Preferences - button in bottom LH corner of VW Preferences dialog box. After that... Quote Link to comment

Guest
I have no idea what causes this, all I know is when I changed autosave to the number of keystrokes instead of minutes, the frequency of unexpected ghanges has dropped to like zero. VWA + Renderworks on a 17" iMac Quote Link to comment
Arch
check on the top line above the drarwing when you have the cursor selected that the line with arrows on both ends is depressed. This sometimes switches off all on its own accord for me! Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
If it is not a problem with the Snaps being turned off then Arch is probably correct when he suggests this may be your problem. Having the first mode on the 2D selection tool turned off disables the ability to resize a drawn object by its handles. To see the expanded screen tips hold down the Command key on a Mac and the Shift key on a PC. Quote Link to comment
Technoflash
Thanks for all the advice. It just seems to be one of those little bugs that we all love so much. Nothing seems to help...oh well Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Remember: there are hot keys for the constraints. If you accidentally hit any of the flowwowing keys: "Q,W,E,A,S, or D", you will have just turned on (or off) one of the constraints. Check for yourself, you can see them being highlighted (or unhighlighted) as you type :-) Quote Link to comment
