Trying for minimal Annotations & Dimensions

Recommended Posts

Nice work and good demo of a good idea!

Those material and product labels could also be presented as hyperlinks to details and info elsewhere in the drawing file, or to jobsite staging/inventory data, or to www for mfg and vendor.

Engineers and other consultants? They should like this format if it can preserve the labels & allow extraction of geometry and data in plan/elevation views.

Builders? Want more dims, but a 3d measure device in the viewer would solve that.

Job site viewing tablet will have to be sturdy (drop proof, crush proof, rain proof, abrasion proof, readable in bright light, cleanable, blah blah blah)

Permit agencies? The paper prints require no electrical equipment to read, so resistance to change will continue. But they are coming along. The interactive 3d train will arrive at my building department sometime in the next 10 or 15 years.
