steve s
such as select multiple by holding down shift key -not working, drag corner of rectangle hold shift to constrain resizing - not working, Hold Option while Marquee Select to select partially covered objects -not working...... this is true for 2013 and 2014. I have looked at all the prefs but cannot find one that fixes this, I trashed VW prefs, no fix. I even tried another keyboard. And tried different files... Did I miss a pref?? thanks for any help, impossible to get any work done like this Quote Link to comment

steve s
Actually I can't reboot for a day or so, I got something running I can't interrupt. If a reboot does fix it, I wonder what the heck it is... I did quit and restart VW Edited February 19, 2014 by steve s Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 19, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) This will normally correct it: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/623/Disk+Utility However you may still need to reboot after, so it may have to wait until you can do that. You can perform the repair without rebooting though, its worth a shot. Edited February 19, 2014 by JimW Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
I think this is a Mac OSX 10.9 thing myself. I had it happen the other day. At first I thought it was VW too but restarting just VW didn't fix it. Restarting the system did. KM Quote Link to comment
steve s
Repairing permissions didn't help. Still can't reboot, we'll see tomorrow. Thanks Well accidentally disconnected a drive and killed the processs... so I could reboot. All fixed. Seems a very odd thing to happen though. Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 20, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 20, 2014 It's a weird Mac quirk, it has happened on and off to users since at least the VectorWorks 12 era. Nothing you've done caused it most likely. If it keeps happening repeatedly however, let us know. A random occurrence or two is nothing to worry about but if it happens more frequently I'd recommend having one of our techs take a closer look. Quote Link to comment
