Copy/Paste VPs between files

I would like to see this functionality introduced!

I spend huge amounts of time setting up SLVPs time and again.

Both annotations, labels and settings vary greatly in different projects and phases however are none the less present in one form or another in each project.

Saving all types of VPs and settings in a template file is very tedious and hard to manage.

We really need to be able to copy/paste VPs between files including settings, labels, annotations etc! This would save us huge amounts of time.

Or export the setting to import them again? like you can export symbols....

No question. I'm not sure why this isn't possible. Especially given how often you need to rebuild a corrupt file.

I think there is a work around where you can group the viewport and then copy/paste the group between files.

I have not tested this morning.

Pat's correct (as always): Group the SLVP and paste to a sheet layer in the target file, but the target file has to have all the relevant layers and classes present.
