Viewport visibility

It would be great to have similar visibility options in the Navigation-Viewport palette as there is for classes and layers.

....and a default class that viewports are assigned to along with their crop objects a bit like the way dimensions always default to their own class.

i would like the ability to assign the crop to a class, and the viewport. if you get the viewport wrong, you can change it on the Object Info palette, but the crop, what a pain that can be

Not quite what you are asking for, but here is a script that will match the class of each crop object to the class of its viewport.

The obvious answer to the Viewport Class problems is to have the default behaviour be that both the Viewport and the Crop Object are assigned to the None Class.

This would work for most users most of the time and prevent the disappearing Viewport or Crop problem from occurring. Where users do need to have them different this can be readily done by changing their class via the Object Information Palette.

Disappearing crops and viewports are user errors not a programming issue.

Vectorworks does not need any more hard coded options.

Why not just forget the edit step and make the crop editable straight off through its handles, and have a check box for its visibility in the OIP.
