Interactive Appearance Settings

Anybody know how to control the background shading of the bounding box of a selected group?

I like the colored outline but would be happier if the whole area was lighter, or maybe not shaded at all.

I don't think it is changeable, but I would be glad to be proven wrong if anyone knows how.

Have a look at the Interactive Appearance Settings colours.

Access via the Interactive Appearance Settings button under the Interactive tab in VectorWorks Preferences.

So Mike....do you know which one of those controls the color/opacity of the area inside the bounding box of a selected group? It seems i can adjust the border but not the background.

I fiddled with almost every one of those before posting. (that's why I used the name of the button for the subject :-)

I think maybe Pat's right. It appears to be pretty much the same color that shows the page outside of the printable area on a sheet layer, and that's probably not adjustable.

No big, but I'd change it if I could.

Apologies Colin for not reading your post correctly. As Pat has stated there doesn't appear to be a way of removing the shading.

I was reading this post and I'm looking for the same thing. I'm on a mac and I don't have an Interactive tab under my vectorworks preferences. Any ideas?

You don't, are you sure, under Tools>Options>Vectorworks preferences>Interactive.....?

Nope, no Interactive. All I have is EDIT DISPLAY SESSION 3D. Any suggestions?

Yes, post what version you have.

Vectorworks 12.5 doesn't have Interactive elements, so you don't have Interactive Preferences.

Jonathan is correct, please create a signature for future questions.
