EDITING SPACES, VW 2023/24

I do NOT understand why the space tool tag is separate to the boundary.  If I set the boundary not to display, I can no longer edit the TAG.  This is an absolute nuisance! Why can't the tag be edited by selecting the tag?

I am not seeing this. I can disable 'Show 2D boundary' + in fact turn off all the Space classes + the Data Tag is still there + can be selected/edited.

 

This is in VW2023.

why not place the tag separately?  much easier and more flexible.

This is essentially your only option anyway isn't it? You can have it so the Space automatically inserts the Data Tag but it's still a separate object.

@ASydDesigns please confirm what version of VW you are using. Your signature says you are using VW2022.  

 

Spaces and Space Labels changed in VW2023, so the answer will depend on the version you are running.

we turn off the space label in the space style, and add them afterwards.

Yep same here. I dont want them on design layer only in VP annotations
