MGuilfoile
As much as I like the automatic back up feature in VW, I don't like to come back to my computer after leaving it to render an image and see the inane question "Do I really want to back up now" on my screen instead of a finished rendering. In short: All processes should continue in the background while it waits for an answer. Or is there a box I need to tic to make sure this happens? MH Brown Quote Link to comment
Jesse Cogswell
You can turn off the reminder dialog box by unchecking Confirm before save in the Autosave tab of Vectorworks Preferences. The only thing that complicates rendering is that you will get the little "Autosave Complete" message in the lower right of the screen that is normally used to show render progress, so you might not be able to see the render time or current render percentage. 1 Quote Link to comment
E|FA
I set autosave based on number of actions, not time. Should solve this issue. I also set the number of undos to the same number. 4 Quote Link to comment

Since I also switched to Actions instead of Time, my VW crashes went down significantly ! 3 Quote Link to comment
Mark Aceto
And the most important step: save them all to the same folder (vs the default behavior of scattering them across the universe). 2 Quote Link to comment
