Jonathan Pickup
I don't have any spotlight objects, but I was able to export plants, hard scapes, site model, and a building from Vectorworks into ArchiCAD is an IFC Project. The export IFC project is under the export menu, near the top. If it's not showing on your workspace, try changing to one of the other workspaces like the Architect workspace. If that fails, then maybe you need to edit your workspace and add the export IFC project to your workspace. I hope this helps: Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
I don't think that any of the Spotlight objects have IFC data attached, so an IFC export of them probably won't work unless you manually attach IFC data. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
in that case, select the object, go to the Object Info palette, click on Data, and click on the Attach IFC.. button. You will have to add some IFC data, otherwise the objects will not be exported. Quote Link to comment
spettitt
AFAIK Spotlight objects should have IFC data mapped by default. Loading up the stock Spotlight (Metric).sta template and opening the Data Manager, lighting devices have this mapping: 3 Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Peter Neufeld. Posted August 29, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 29, 2023 Hello, The IFC export command is present in the Spotlight workspace, so if you can't find it make sure you are using a workspace that is current. Cheers, Peter Quote Link to comment
