slab issues?

Hi, I'm a little confused on what's going on with my slabs. I have 2 issues:

1) In top plan your able to see my slabs but as soon as I go into a 3d view some of them disappear? Are they still there?

2) In top plan when you click on the slab you can see it says slab-locked (I have all my slabs locked) but in 3d view when I click on it, it says polygon (I made the slab using a polygon for context), so why does it keep converting back to a polygon in 3d but its a slab in top plan?

Thanks for the help

1) What attributes do the slab components have?

2), perhaps the polygon didn't get deleted when you created the slab? There is an option that says something like "delete source object" and perhaps this was unchecked?

1) they are all top of component - fixed thickness slab

2) thank you. I was able to fix this problem by checking that

Hi,

Was this ever resolved? I am having the same issue. My slabs were working fine in a file I created without using storys. I am trying to setup a practice template using the story function. I have copied info across and the slabs have disappeared from 3D view. The slabs are all at the origin ontop of each other but are in the correct place in 2D top plan view.

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks Theo

Post a file + someone will look at it. Your problem sounds unrelated to the one here. Sounds like you need to look at the Layers the Slabs are on + the Z Ref/Z Off settings.
