Attribute mapping box really far away.

Is there a clever way of getting the attribute mapping box to re-associate itself in rough proximity with the object you are trying to affect?

It's miles away and I cannot bring myself to drag it back painfully over hours of shuffling along at a zoom that I can grab it with.

Solved it.

Draw new polygon and fill it with the hatch fresh from resource manager.

Then sample the fill and put it into the offending object.

The attribute box will come back into range.

Another way might be to apply a different fill type and reselect the one it had again.  I believe that will reset it to its default position.

You could also use the Attributes Palette. Click the three dots to the right of the hatch, then uncheck and re-check "Use Local Mapping" -or- set the two Offsets to 0.
