  1. With both methods: right-click and double-click? By the way, you might also be interested in this: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=73194
  2. Have you tried closing and reopening the file? Or restarting VW? I seem to remember coming across this problem now and then. A VW restart usually gets around it.
  3. Yeah, the None class in our template is set to white fill. The actual bitmap, mind you, is set to no fill.
  4. I'm with Mike on this one. Ray, I think you'd probably be interested in this too: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=72625
  5. Good thought, but yes it's in the same Class as the rest of the titleblock: None.
  6. Moan and whine. Ha, I thought you were qualifying your statement with the knowledge that VectorWorks is a BMW rather than a Rolls Royce.
  7. Yeah we've just been repasting the image too, but I'm trying to figure out what exactly is causing us the problem to see if we can avoid it.
  8. Has anyone else come across a problem whereby bitmap images disappear after being opened or saved on an Intel-based Mac, leaving just an image placeholder (box with cross)? In our case we have a logo in our titleblock symbol, which keeps going walkabout and I think it's related to an Intel-based Mac laptop.
  9. Yeap, already done Robert. Edit: Actually Katie's submitted to be fast tracked. Thanks.
  10. The "Brick (UK)" hatch that comes with VW 12.5 is incorrect but I'm not to good with hatches. Can someone give me some pointers? The module is 225x112.5 but it should be 225x75. I've adjusted the horizontal element to a 75mm offset, and then I've adjusted the Dash Factor of the vertical element to be 0.333333 (instead of 0.5) so it's 75mm high, but then what do I need to get vertical element to repeat correctly?
  11. It would be useful if we could change the opacity of a single object (in the attributes palette) as opposed to using a whole Layer. In Photoshop opacity works very well on a Layer level, but in VectorWorks you're generally wanting to use Layers for other things so another Layer for opacity purposes just complicates the file.
  12. Kind of. But it's more of a karma thing.
  13. "well known by architects in Helsinki to be the big jackass"? I have to disagree. I've been to Helsinki and I don't know Petri.
  14. No Katie, you're wrong. Regardless of what Terra has now s/he's definitely going to need a 8-Core 3.0GHz Intel Xeon Mac Pro: http://www.apple.com/macpro/
  15. Are you saying that when you open any file created previosuly to upgrading anything with a fill is solid black?
  16. Hi Entasis, first check out this post: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=77492 What exact version of VW are you using. And are you on Windows or Mac? Your Layer View Settings, under View > Layer Options, should be independent of your Viewports as far as I know. In fact I have a semi-related wishlist item that asks for this situation to be slightly altered: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=73194 When you say "open one of my viewports" do you mean you right/ctrl-click on a Viewport and select "Edit Design Layer" or do you double-click a Viewport and then choose Design Layer? Or do you mean something else?
  17. By the way, the model will tend to blow out of view as you describe when it's not drawn at an origin of 0 on the Design Layer.
  18. I'm just waiting for our office to get burgled again. Can't see it happening now though, we ended up turning it into Fort Knox.
  19. Just coming back to this, it is daft that this is on by default. One aspect that makes a truly good application in my opinion is good default settings.
