  1. What rendering mode are you attempting to use? Does it look the same in OpenGL vs Fast Renderworks?
  2. Unfortunately, Vectorworks has no provisions yet for handling differing DPIs across multiple displays and can't manually control cursor scaling separately.
  3. From what I've heard the majority of the printing issues are printers that don't yet have Mojave drivers, so after that it's up to the manufacturer. Apple won't tell us anything ahead of time though, if they end up fixing it they will just roll it into a patch.
  4. Looks like it was marked fixed in sp2, but of course if it was used prior to the fix, those would all have to be swapped out with the repaired one.
  5. This caught my attention in all the Black Friday add flood, this seems very, very pricey to me for the functionality it offers, but how useful or important would something like this be for you all? https://palettegear.com I'm completely addicted to my spacenavigator knob, but things like these seem to be more of a niche convenience feature than something that let's you control things in a way you couldn't otherwise.
  6. Reply back with the following from the affected machine please: This looks like it might be a graphics issue, or may need the workspace reset.
  7. It looks like this is still possible. Nothing got in my way on Mojave in 2017 badly enough that I could not import the RFA and then save that file and bring it into 2018 or 2019. I have also edited the forum permissions so that RFAs can be directly uploaded in the future.
  8. Thank you for that, I was indeed able to replicate this as well. I will make sure this is filed properly as thats a long time for this to have gone unfixed. As for 2017, I have heard that users were able to open it but that the UI was very, very strange and deformed. However, if you are literally just opening 2017, importing the RFA, then saving and bringing that into 2019 it may be just capable enough on Mojave. I will test with one of the mojave macs here, stand by.
  9. The Surface Studio 2 is excellent hardware and would handle Vectorworks quite well. However, it's accessories like the Surface Dial we do not have direct support for, so it would not be something you could take advantage of in Vectorworks specifically. Vectorworks' UI is nearly identical on Mac vs PC, there is a very slight learning curve for some of the shortcuts, but menus and tools are all found in the same location. The one note I would make is that on Mac, the color picker is superior, as Apple's color picker utility is superior to the one found on Windows, and we use the OSes built in picker tool.
  10. @Sky came here because they are hitting a wall and need help over it. Im sure if they could have avoided Revit entirely already, they would have. Of course you don't. Please excuse the above. Did you happen to have the same problem importing those revit files after 2019 sp2 was released? If you havent had a chance to try it yet, please send me the files I can do so for you.
  11. Unfortunately a lot of people aren't able to fully control where their workload comes from or goes. No reason to argue these points though, all about getting a solution that works for @Sky however it comes.
  12. Same thing is happening in 2019 SP2? I have 6-8 various bugs related to Revit import on the changelist here between 2019 sp1 and 2019 sp2
  13. I am thankful that I get to come into work every day, have nerdy debates and discussions with the people that design beautiful places and objects, and that I get paid to do it!
  14. A reply like that is not about being smug and unhelpful, it is about confirming whether something is a bug or whether an issue exists on your machine specifically. I am also unable to replicate this here on 2019 SP2 on macOS 10.14. Do you get that same delay even in a new blank file or just certain ones?
  15. If you restart the machine entirely, then open a new blank document and draw a simple line in it, then try to assign it a pen style from the attributes palette, does it reappear? or remain grey? If it remains grey, reply back with this as well from your machine please:
  16. What version of macOS and Vectorworks are you using? Does it appear the same when you expand the palette?
  17. Checking now, though the engineer I need may already be indulging in some early Thanksgiving turkey. If I don't get an answer today I will recheck Monday.
  18. Simply because we have not yet found a way to solve the problem. However, this issue was already pulled and listed as a usability priority and engineering is very aware of it. Last I heard there were a few different methods that might possibly solve it, but the bug was not listed as fixed for SP2. I am still able to replicate it here. The problem doesn't always appear right away, and gets more and more obvious the twitchier you are with the mouse (I am VERY twitchy with my mouse) as the face selection tries too hard to find all the small facets in BIMObjects (or in some cases, other mesh containers) before moving on to highlighting the faces the user wants. The original thought was that we could simply have push/pull ignore BimObjects since they dont really need to be push/pulled anyway, but it was not as easy as first expected to exclude that geometry from the tool's awareness.
  19. You should now be approved and good to go. Let me know if it gives you any further trouble.
  20. Your issue looks to be one that can be fixed by doing the following to set the dedicated GPU for use in Vectorworks, your machine is currently using the Intel GPU:
  21. Could you post a screenshot of what you are seeing, please?
  22. First make sure to go to Help > Check for updates and let it install 2019 sp2 which was just released recently. If it still crashes during conversion after that however, please send me the file directly and I can take a look.
23. They may have an older customized workspace that does not include those options. Have them check under Tools > Workspaces > Edit the Current Workspace, under the All Menus tab, and see if they see some of the Project Sharing options available.
  24. Well now make sure to check this: I do not think all of those machine will have Thunderbolt 3 connectors, which is the connection standard that I think most or all of these enclosures use. It's the one that uses the USB C port rather than the smaller Mini Displayport that they used to include. Thunderbolt 1 and 2 I THINK can be made to work with these via a series of adapters, but the performance benefits would likely be limited in these setups. Also, since iMacs have their own included display, the issue where eGPU performance improvements didn't appear other than on an external display, and even then in a reduced fashion may occur. At the moment, I would only personally recommend an eGPU for the MAc Mini, where I saw immediate and very positive performance gains with little to no extra configuration. I'll keep testing with any other models I can get my hands on. I even have an iMac Pro here I'm going to test it with, not that it needs GPU improvement but just to see if I get the expected performance from the eGPU.
  25. Those should both work quite well, however they are quite pricey even though their price includes the GPU. The others supported by Apple officially are listed here along with the GPUs they're recommended for: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208544 And if you have an IT guy handy that can install the GPU in the enclosure, you might save some solid cash. However, what Mac are you going to be using this with? I've seen eGPU at the moment working very well with the Mac Mini, but very poorly with a Macbook here in testing so far even though it should be just as good.
